23/08/2026

We stand with our student-athletes—not only when they represent Ateneo, but also when they need their community to stand alongside them.

In response to the threats and harassment directed toward Atenean student-athletes, the Sanggunian ng mga Mag-Aaral ng mga Paaralang Loyola ng
Ateneo de Manila, Council of Organizations of the Ateneo-Manila (COA-M), the Ateneo Resident Students Association (ARSA), the Ateneo Sports Coalition (ASC), the League of Independent Organizations (LIONS), and the Scholars' Sectoral Board (SSB), stand in solidarity with our student-athletes and the wider Ateneo community in affirming that safety, dignity, and well-being must remain a foremost priority.

We firmly denounce threats, harassment, and intimidation against members of our community. While calls for accountability and criticism are legitimate, they can never justify acts that place students at risk or make them fear openly being part of the Ateneo community.

We also call for accessible and responsive mechanisms for reporting threats and harassment, prompt action on reported concerns, and continued safety and support for those affected.
