When do you feel most like yourself? Not the version of you that’s rushing from one responsibility to the next. The REAL you. The one who feels present, peaceful, and fully alive.
Maybe it’s during your morning coffee.
Maybe it’s walking in nature.
Maybe it’s laughing with your children.
Maybe it’s creating, reading, praying, or simply enjoying a quiet moment.
Those moments aren’t random. They’re gentle reminders of what fills your heart and reconnects you with yourself.
Today, I invite you to pause and reflect: When do you feel most like yourself? I’d love to hear your answer in the comments.
This is Reflection 2 inside The CoHearted Clarity Journal, my complimentary guided journal with 10 gentle reflections to help you reconnect with yourself and prepare for your next chapter.

Welcome to 10 Gentle Reflections Before Your Next Chapter.
Over the next 10 posts, I’ll be sharing one reflection from The CoHearted Clarity Journal, questions designed to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and create space for clarity.
Today’s reflection is simple, but powerful: How am I, really?
Not the answer you give when someone casually asks BUT the answer you’d write in your journal. The answer you’d whisper to yourself. The honest one.
Pause for a moment before you answer. No judgment. No pressure. Just awareness.
Share one word in the comments. How are you, really?
If you’d like all 10 reflections, you can download The CoHearted Clarity Journal for free through the link in my bio. Let’s take this journey together.

Sometimes the answers we’re searching for aren’t waiting in another podcast, another book, or another productivity hack.
Sometimes they’re waiting in the quiet. In the moment we finally stop rushing long enough to hear ourselves again.
Before you begin another busy week, ask yourself: What am I carrying that I no longer need?
Maybe it’s guilt. Maybe it’s pressure. Maybe it’s the expectation that you always have to be everything for everyone. Or maybe, it’s simply time to put it down.
You don’t have to figure everything out tonight. Just begin with one honest page. Because clarity isn’t found by doing more. It’s found by making space for what matters most.
If you’d like a gentle companion for your Sunday reflections, I’ve created the CoHearted Clarity Journal, a free guided journal with prompts designed to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and move into your week with intention. May this week begin with a quieter heart.

Some books don’t just tell a story. They quietly reveal something about you.
Last Saturday, our book club brought Yesteryear by Caro Claire Burke beyond its pages. We spent the morning wandering through Casa Manila in Intramuros, where our guide, Bea, helped us see history not as dates and events, but as everyday lives that continue to shape who we are today. It reminded me that so much of what we call “normal” has been inherited, our traditions, our beliefs, even the roles we play.
Later, over lunch at Ilustrado, we gathered for our discussion. Aurora M. Suarez’s thoughtful questions opened the conversation, but what I always love most about book club is hearing how one story can unfold into many different perspectives. Every reader notices something different because every reader brings a different life into the room.
As we shared our reflections, I realized something I hadn’t noticed about myself. I can give a book five stars without loving its characters. For years, I thought memorable stories required characters I admired or wanted to root for. Yesteryear challenged that. Its characters were often difficult, flawed, and, at times, unlikeable.
And perhaps that’s the point. Real people are rarely written to be lovable. They are shaped by their circumstances, their fears, their upbringing, and the world they inherited. Maybe our work isn’t always to like them. Maybe it’s to understand them. That realization stayed with me long after we closed the book. Because I wonder how often we do the same in real life. How quickly do we decide who is worthy of our empathy based on whether we find them easy to love?
Stories have a way of inviting us to practice something deeper than agreement. They invite us into curiosity. And perhaps curiosity is where compassion begins.
Here’s to books that don’t simply entertain us, but gently reshape the way we see history, others, and ourselves.
✨ What book has quietly changed the way you see people?
