The SSL Team Philippines had a courtesy call with our most valued and long-time sponsor, Standard Insurance.

We are deeply grateful to Sir Ernesto T. Echauz, who has been an unwavering supporter of sailing in the Philippines—from grassroots development to high-performance athletes.

The SSL Team Philippines is honored and thankful for his continued support as he will once again sponsor the team in the upcoming 2026 SSL World Cup in Brazil 🇧🇷⛵

Thank you for believing in Filipino sailors and for continuously supporting the growth of the sport.

Isang Roller-Coaster na Biyahe patungo sa Golden Ticket🚀🇧🇷

Tatlong araw. Matitinding laban. Isang pangarap. Apat na panalo sa anim na karera— at nakuha ng SSL Team Philippines ang GOLDEN TICKET papuntang Rio! ⛵️🏆

DAY 1
Unang araw, unang karera, nanguna mula simula hanggang dulo.
Bilis, tapang, at solidong teamwork ang ipinamalas sa Asian Qualifiers sa Thailand.

DAY 2
Mas umiinit ang laban. Matalinong diskarte, malinaw na mga linya, at kumpiyansang galaw sa dagat ang pinamalas ng Pilipinas.

DAY 3
May penalty? ✔️
May pressure? ✔️
Muntik mahulog sa dagat? ✔️
Pero guess what — BUMAWI. LUMABAN. NAGWAGI. 🔥

Lubos ang Pasasalamat ng SSL Team Philippines sa mga sumuporta:
Philippine Sports Commission
Philippine Olympic Committee
Standard Insurance
Philippine Sailing Association
SSL Gold Cup
Star Sailors League

The 33rd SEA Games have finished, but the learnings for SSL Team Philippines continue. ⛵🇵🇭

The first day was challenging due to broken equipment, particularly the coffee grinder. Despite this setback, Team Philippines pushed ourselves to stay in the game. With three races on the first day, the team unfortunately lost a bit of confidence.

On the second day, once the equipment was fixed, the team managed to bounce back. However, some crew coordination was still not fully polished, as one week of training was really not enough. Still, we gained valuable learnings and knowledge, which are important every day.

By the third day, the team was almost there, though some tactical decisions and strategies could have been better.

On the last day, Team Philippines showed true perseverance, fighting until the very end.

We are truly thankful for the opportunity, the learnings, and the friendships gained. Team Philippines is eager and ready for the next regatta in the SSL. 🇵🇭⛵

Congratulations to all the participants and the winners. God bless us all. 🙏
