Tigers Men Volleyball Team

𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗬𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗔 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗧𝗔𝗣𝗢𝗦 𝗦𝗔 𝗣𝗔𝗚-𝗔𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗟

Hindi biro ang maging student-athlete. Mas lalong hindi biro ang maging volleyball player.

Gigising ka nang maaga para sa ensayo. Papasok sa bawat klase. Gagawa ng mga takdang-aralin at proyekto. At pagsapit ng gabi, babalik ka na naman sa court para mag-training.

Nakakapagod. Minsan gusto mo nang sumuko. Pero tandaan mo, ang volleyball ay hindi lang tungkol sa pagpanalo ng laban—ito rin ang magiging tulay mo para maabot ang iyong diploma at mabuo ang iyong pangarap.

Habang kaya mong maglaro, ibigay mo ang lahat. Ngunit higit sa lahat, huwag mong kalilimutang ipaglaban ang iyong edukasyon. Darating ang araw na matatapos ang bawat laro, ngunit ang diploma at mga aral na iyong pinaghirapan ay mananatili habambuhay.

Kaya naman, isang taos-pusong pagpupugay sa lahat ng mga student-athlete na nagtapos ngayong taon. Ang bawat medalya, bawat pawis, bawat sakripisyo, at bawat gabing halos wala nang tulog ay nagbunga rin sa wakas.

Kayo ang patunay na kayang pagsabayin ang pangarap sa loob ng classroom at sa loob ng volleyball court. Nawa'y dalhin ninyo ang disiplina, tibay ng loob, at pusong hinubog ng volleyball sa bawat bagong laban na inyong haharapin.

Mabuhay kayo! Nawa'y maging matagumpay kayo sa susunod na yugto ng inyong buhay.

Maglaro nang may puso. Mag-aral nang may layunin. At gamitin ang volleyball bilang daan tungo sa mas magandang kinabukasan.

𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗞𝗶𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺

He was once a shy little boy from Donsol, Sorsogon—just eight years old, chasing a volleyball beneath the sun, not knowing that every serve, every dive, and every dream would someday lead him to a bigger stage.

Volleyball was never meant to be more than a pastime. He spent his childhood playing in One Day Leagues, finding joy in every game, carrying nothing but a ball and a dream far bigger than himself.

Then fate stepped onto the court.

One day, he faced the 𝗧𝗜𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗦. Amid the noise of competition, something stood out. It wasn't his size, nor his experience—it was his heart. The kind of heart that refuses to quit. The kind that turns ordinary boys into extraordinary athletes.

When he was offered a chance to study and play in Naga City, his answer came without hesitation.

"Yes."

But dreams are never won without a fight.

Distance stood in the way. Financial struggles stood in the way. Even the fear of leaving home stood in the way. Yet 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 carried a determination stronger than every obstacle placed before him. He chose courage over comfort. Faith over fear.

And so, the boy from Donsol left home and chased the dream that once seemed impossible.

Today, 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗷𝗮 stands as one of the finest liberos in the Bicol Region. He has carried the 𝗧𝗜𝗚𝗘𝗥𝗦' colors onto the national stage, proving that talent may open the door, but hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance are what keep it open.

For the kid who was once unknown, who dared to dream beyond the shores of his hometown, this journey is proof that greatness does not come from where you start—it comes from how far you're willing to go.

Now, the final chapter awaits.

One last season.
One last fight.
One last chance to leave every ounce of heart, every sacrifice, and every dream on the court.

And when the final whistle blows, his story will remain a reminder to every young athlete

That sometimes, all it takes is a kid with a big dream and the courage to never let it go.

𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗞𝗶𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺

He is 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙣 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙖—a kid from a small barangay in𝑰𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒂 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚 who dared to dream beyond what many thought was possible.

Long before the bright lights of major competitions, 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙣 was just another young athlete chasing a volleyball across dusty courts, hoping that one day he would represent his region on a bigger stage. He competed in several Palarong Bicol tournaments, giving everything he had each time. But despite his efforts, success always seemed just out of reach. He fell short again and again.

Many would have given up.

But not 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙣.

Driven by his passion and belief in his dream, he made the courageous decision to move to Naga City and become part of the TIGERS Men's Volleyball Team. It was a new beginning filled with challenges. Surrounded by talented athletes, earning a spot in the starting six was never guaranteed. Every player was hungry for an opportunity, and every training session was a battle to prove he belonged.

Through hard work, sacrifice, and determination, Marvien earned his place.

Today, he proudly stands as a Palarong Pambansa quarterfinalist—a milestone that once seemed impossible for the kid from a small barangay in 𝑰𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒂 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚. Although the dream of a podium finish did not become reality, the journey itself became his greatest victory.

Now, armed with experience, fueled by passion, and motivated by unfinished business, Marvien enters his final playing year with the same fire that started it all.

Because dreams are not defined by medals alone.

They are defined by the courage to keep going when others stop, the strength to rise after every setback, and the determination to fight for one more chance.

This is not the end of 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙣 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙖's story.

This is one last push.

For the kid who was once nobody, but became somebody through hard work, perseverance, and a dream he refused to let go.

One last season. One last fight. One last chance to leave it all on the court.

𝗛𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗸𝗶𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗯𝗶𝗴 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺

Growing up in Donsol, Sorsogon, 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 learned the game of volleyball from his parents, who became his first coaches and biggest supporters. What started as a childhood dream of playing in the Palarong Pambansa slowly became a reality through years of hard work, sacrifice, and determination.

Chasing that dream led him to Naga City, where he became part of the TIGERS Men's Volleyball Team. Through every training session, every challenge, and every setback, he never stopped believing.

Today, that little boy with a big dream has earned a moment he will never forget—being named Player of the Game at Palarong Pambansa 2026. 🏅

The podium finish may not come this year, but success is measured by more than medals. It's found in the journey, the growth, the sacrifices, and the courage to keep fighting until the very end.

From the shores of Donsol to the national stage, 𝙅𝙖𝙟𝙖 has already made his hometown proud.

One last push. One last fight. Leave it all on the court.
