UNC Greyhounds Men's Basketball Program

Fresh off a victory in their previous BUCAL Season 8 game, the UNC Greyhounds Juniors return to the court on August 22, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the UNC Sports Palace, where they will face the ACLC Hawks. With momentum on their side, the pack is ready to bring the same energy into their next battle.

One win behind them, another challenge ahead. The Greyhounds are ready to keep the momentum rolling.

𝗟𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗡!

A new BUCAL chapter begins as the Greyhounds step onto the court for their BUCAL Season 8 Seniors’ Division opener on August 21, 2026, 4:30 PM, at the UNC Sports Palace facing the formidable Ateneo Golden Knights.

A season built on preparation now comes down to ex*****on. The Greyhounds are ready to bring the fighting spirit that defines the red and gray. Every possession is an opportunity, every battle a chance to rise, and every moment a chance to show what it means to be upright and brave.

In a their battle against the USI Falcons, the Junior Greyhounds rose to the occasion and proved they could thrive under pressure.

Leading the charge was 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗮𝘁 who bagged Player of the Game and Defensive Player of the Game honors, for his standout performance. On the other side of the court, 𝗔𝗹𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗮𝗱 was recognized as the High Impact Player of the Game for making his presence felt when it mattered most.

𝗭𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻 𝗠𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗔𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘀 stood out as the Player of the Game and the High Impact Player of the Game. On the other side of the hardwood, 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗮𝘁 was hailed as the Defensive Player of the Game.
