Learning Beyond the Classroom!

Our Sports Elective students had the opportunity to attend the Disaster Preparedness and Awareness Seminar conducted by Youth Affairs and Sports Development Office at Ayala Malls South Park.

The seminar equipped our students with valuable knowledge and practical skills in disaster preparedness, emergency response, and community resilience. As future leaders and active members of society, they learned the importance of staying informed, prepared, and ready to respond during emergencies.

A heartfelt thank you to YASDO for this meaningful learning experience and to everyone who made this activity possible. Together, we continue to empower our learners with knowledge that extends beyond the classroom.

Known as the National Martial Art and Sport of the Philippines, Arnis carries deep cultural importance as an indigenous combat tradition passed down through families, communities, and warriors. Practiced with rattan sticks, blades, or empty hands, it reminds us that Filipino strength is not only physical. It is smart, fast, and deeply rooted in heritage.

Did you know? Arnis is also called Eskrima or Kali, and beginners often train first with lightweight rattan sticks called baston or yantok.
