For decades, Jean-François Danton has dedicated his career to developing riders through a system rooted in classical horsemanship, progressive instruction, and rider development.

As an internationally respected equestrian trainer, show jumping rider, founder of Haras de Chambertin, and clinician, he has worked with riders at every stage—from aspiring amateurs to top-level competitors—sharing a teaching philosophy built on strong fundamentals and continuous progression.

This August and September, The Riding School Alabang welcomes Jean-François Danton for our International Training Program, giving riders the opportunity to learn directly from one of the sport’s most respected horsemen.

International Training Program Schedule
• August 31 – September 3: 4-Day Clinic
• September 4: Private Lessons
• September 5: Jump Show Competition

We look forward to welcoming Jean-François Danton to The Riding School Alabang and continuing our commitment to world-class equestrian education.

Learning goes beyond borders. Through The Riding School Alabang’s International Training Program, riders have the opportunity to learn from internationally respected equestrian professionals while building on the training they receive at home.

Kifu Agousti Coard (Kifu Augousti-Coard) recently travelled to Annecy, France to train under Jean-François Danton (Jean F. Danton) at Haras de Chambertin. Her experience reflects how international learning complements the riding foundations developed at The Riding School Alabang.

“My husband, my 4 year old and myself went to Annecy to train with world class Olympic trainer Jean Francois Danton.

Each of us are naturally at different levels and stages of our riding journey, but what I loved and respected most in his training was his motivation and dedication to each of us was the same.

His method to training is very specific and detailed but ‘pure’ at the same time wherein he has certain repeated important instructions. One of them is notably ‘hands without legs, legs without hands’. Everyday each lesson had a goal and purpose, that served an even greater one for the next lesson.

Each time we entered the ring it became a natural feeling of improvement from the last lesson.

I am so proud of our progress and feel so grateful that Denise Cojuangco (Denise Cojuangco) trained and prepared us so well to work with Jean Francois. I strongly believe that the training method of RSA and Jean Francois are highly complimentary to each other and look forward to his upcoming clinic in RSA.”

This September, Jean-François Danton brings that same training philosophy to The Riding School Alabang for a series of clinics, continuing our commitment to international equestrian education.

For decades, international partnerships have helped shape the training philosophy at The Riding School Alabang.

From Kathy Kusner’s clinics in the 1980s and early 1990s to today’s collaborations with respected horsemen from around the world, our commitment has remained the same: to provide riders with strong foundations rooted in classical horsemanship.

This August, we continue that tradition as we welcome Jean-François Danton for a specialized training program in classical horsemanship and rider development.
