This Father’s Day, we honor the sacrifice, passion, and unique gift of our Grassroots Head Coach, Coach Mark. Anthony Newmark

Teaching basketball is easy. Teaching drills and fundamentals can be learned. But the real challenge of grassroots coaching is something much deeper—making every child genuinely love the game.

That is Coach Mark’s greatest talent.

Through his patience, energy, and natural connection with young athletes, he transforms every training session into an experience that kids look forward to. He doesn’t just develop basketball skills; he builds confidence, discipline, friendships, and a lifelong love for sports.

A true grassroots coach is not measured by wins and trophies, but by the number of young lives inspired to keep playing, keep learning, and keep dreaming.

This Father’s Day, we celebrate not only a dedicated coach but also a mentor, role model, and father figure to many young ballers.

Thank you, Coach Mark, for showing that the heart of grassroots basketball is not teaching the sport—it is making children fall in love with it.

The heartbreaking loss of Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili reminds us that talent alone is not enough—athlete’s safety must always come first. 🕊️🏀

As we continue to mourn the passing of two young athletes with a bright future, we are thankful to have Coach Jen serving as our Safety Coach, helping us prioritize the health, safety, and well-being of every player in our program.

In memory of Rene, we reaffirm our commitment to creating a safer environment where young athletes can learn, grow, and pursue their dreams with proper care and protection.

Rest in peace, Rene & Divine. Your story will continue to remind us why safety matters.
