One thing I love about rainy days is how they slow us down.
We gather around one meal.
We linger a little longer.
We become a little more grateful.
For warm food.
For a safe home.
For family.
May tonight remind us that some of life’s richest moments don’t happen in expensive places.
They happen around a simple table.
One meal at a time. 🤍

MAGKASAMANG MANGANGARAP
Today, we celebrate our 8th Wedding Anniversary. ❤️
Madalas mong ikwento dati na growing up, wala kang pangarap.
Even after graduating from college (thanks to Real Life) and becoming a young professional. You are still wandering what to do next.
May mga nagtatanong sayo kung mag-aasawa ka ba at marami ring nirereto sa’yong mga single ladies, but you chose not to entertain kasi in your mind, there was only one thought:
“𝘐𝘯𝘪𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘱 𝘬𝘰 𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘬𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘢𝘯𝘰 𝘬𝘰 𝘱𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘪 𝘬𝘰, 𝘴𝘰 𝘱𝘢𝘢𝘯𝘰 𝘱𝘢 𝘬𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘬𝘰 𝘯𝘢 𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘶𝘣𝘶𝘩𝘢𝘺 𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺𝘢?”
But I witnessed how God slowly unfolded His plans for you.
Before I even graduated from college, the Lord gave you a word that I would be the woman you would marry. Yet you chose to keep it in your heart and waited until I received my college diploma.
Everything happened in God’s perfect timing.
You talked to my parents and asked permission to pursue me. Then, literally a day after my graduation, you laid your intentions before me. 🎓
Seven months later, you proposed. 💍
Another seven months later, we got married.
And here we are today, celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary. ☺️
Looking back, it wasn’t really your plan.
It was His plan from the very beginning.
“𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶,” 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥, “𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦.” — Jeremiah 29:11
And I am truly grateful that you obeyed.
This marriage has never been just about us.
From the very beginning, it has always been about the three of us—you, me, and Christ at the center of it all.
Over the years, one of my favorite things is hearing you talk about your dreams for our family.
“𝘔𝘢𝘮𝘢, 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘰𝘵𝘴𝘦 𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘰.”
“𝘔𝘢𝘮𝘢, 𝘴𝘢 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘶𝘯𝘰𝘥 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘰 𝘯𝘢 𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘭𝘪 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯.”
“𝘔𝘢𝘮𝘢, 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘭 𝘵𝘢𝘺𝘰 𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘢𝘸𝘢 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘶𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯.”
And every time I hear you say those words, I can’t help but smile. ☺️
Because the man who once said he had no dreams is now a man filled with dreams—not just for himself, but for his family. 🥹
And one of the greatest blessings of marriage is that those dreams are no longer yours alone.
They have become ours.
Now, we dream together.
We pray together.
We build together.
We trust God together.
And as we look ahead, I know there are still many prayers waiting to be answered and many promises waiting to be fulfilled.
But if the last eight years have taught me anything, it is this:
God is faithful.
He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
The same God who wrote our story, brought us together, and sustained us through every season will also complete everything He has started in us.
“𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘣𝘦𝘨𝘢𝘯 𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘑𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘴 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵.” — 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘴 1:6
I love you Papa and happy 8th Wedding Anniversary to us!

HINDI SIYA FINANCIAL BURDEN
This is my Papa, a former OFW, and today he turns 55.
Sa totoo lang, I grew up treating him like an ATM because my whole teenage years, magkalayo kami.
Parang halos lahat ng videocall namin, may hinihingi ako. Minsan nga may patong pa sa totoong presyo kasi feeling entitled ako noon.
But when I surrendered my life to Jesus at 16, my perspective slowly changed.
I no longer saw him as an ATM. I became more transparent about what was happening in my life, and I learned to be honest about what I truly needed.
I am the youngest in the family, and when I graduated from college, I felt grateful because it seemed like Mama and Papa had finally graduated from their financial responsibilities to us.
And even after all these years, never did he ask anything in return.
Never siyang nanumbat ng pera.
Never niyang ipinaramdam na may utang na loob kaming kailangang bayaran.
He simply provided for us because he loved us.
Looking back, sobrang amazed ako sa lahat ng ginawa ni Papa for our family, especially knowing what he went through growing up.
And he made it happen.
When he and Mama got married, bumukod sila.
But because of that season, they dreamed of having a home.
They built it.
They achieved it.
Now, they’re living in it. 🏠
Papa, thank you for showing us what financial responsibility looks like.
And one thing I never expected was that we would become closer through the years.
Our communication got better, and I found myself appreciating you more and more every single day.
Thank you for your generosity.
Thank you for your quiet love.
Thank you for your hard work that allowed all of us to finish our studies.
You’ve been a breadwinner for most of your life.
But today, I don’t just see a breadwinner.
I see a winner. 🏆
A man who fulfilled his responsibilities.
A man who kept showing up.
A man who sacrificed so others could flourish.
Thank you for everything, Papa.
And now, my prayer is simple:
This time, ikaw naman.
You’ve done enough.
Happiest 55th birthday, Papa ko!
May the Lord continue to bless you, strengthen you, and grant the desires of your heart.
You spent most of your life building dreams for others.
Now, I pray that God builds the dreams you’ve been carrying in your own heart all along. I love you so much! 😘

HOMEMADE MANGO ICE CREAM 🥭🍦✨
A few days ago, I shared my Homemade Oat Milk journey.
I was so excited to make my first batch… only to realize I accidentally used “tap water” instead of “drinking water”. 😅
To be safe, I heated it afterward and it turned into a very slimy oat milk. 🥴
Pinalamig ko muna siya then poured in ice molder then freeze habang nag-iisip anong gagawin ko sa kanya.
Few days have passed. I suddenly thought of making homemade ice cream since ang dami naming frozen overriped mangoes.
So instead of using fresh milk, I used the slimy oat milk as an alternative. And shocks! Ang saraaaaap! 🍨😍
The natural thickness of the oat milk actually made the ice cream extra creamy! 🤤 Parang it was meant to be used that way all along. 🫰
⸻
HOMEMADE MANGO ICE CREAM 🥭
Ingredients:
✔️ Frozen overripe mangoes
✔️ Homemade slimy oat milk (from my previous batch 😅)
✔️ Greek yogurt (optional, for extra creaminess)
✔️ Honey (to taste)
Instructions:
✔️ Place frozen mangoes, oat milk, and honey in a blender
✔️ Blend until smooth, thick, and creamy
✔️ Adjust sweetness if needed
✔️ Scoop and enjoy immediately, or freeze for a firmer texture
⸻
This recipe reminded me of something bigger than ice cream.
Sometimes, we label things as “failures” too quickly.
But maybe, some of them are just waiting for the “right purpose”.
That slimy oat milk taught me that not everything has to be perfect to be useful.
What looked like a mistake turned into one of the most surprisingly delicious desserts we’ve made at home. 🥰
And maybe that’s true for many things in life too.
Sometimes, what feels like a failed first attempt is simply an ingredient for something even better. 🤍

HOMEMADE OAT MILK 🥛
Ohhh finallyyyyyy! I was able to make this homemade oat milk with just 4 ingredients!
Honestly, I was surprised by how simple it was. Just a few ingredients, a blender, and a strainer.
Well… akala ko simple lang. 😅
Epic kasi yung naging first attempt ko. Lugaw yarn? Hahaha! 🥣
Thankfully, it wasn’t a total waste. I’ll be turning that batch into a smoothie, oat pudding, hot chocolate, and pancakes, instead. ♻️
So gumawa ulit ako ng panibagong batch gamit ang cold drinking water.
At ayun… TADA! SUCCESS!! 🙌
⸻
INGREDIENTS:
✔️ 1 cup rolled oats
✔️ 4–5 pcs pitted dates
✔️ Pinch of sea salt
✔️ Cinnamon (optional)
✔️ 4 cups cold drinking water
📌 Water Ratio: 1:4
(1 cup oats = 4 cups water)
⸻
HOW TO MAKE:
1. Add all ingredients to a blender.
2. Blend for 20–30 seconds only.
3. Strain using a nut milk bag, cheesecloth, or fine mesh strainer.
4. Transfer to a clean bottle or jar.
5. Refrigerate and consume within 3–5 days.
📌 Tip: Cold water + short blending time = less slimy oat milk.
⸻
Why I love homemade oat milk:
✔️ Cost-efficient
✔️ Less packaging waste
✔️ Control mo ang ingredients
✔️ No unnecessary additives
✔️ Batch-prep friendly
✔️ Pwedeng gamitin sa coffee, hot chocolate, smoothies, pancakes, at baking
Bonus:
⸻
One thing I’ve been learning in our wellness journey is that healthy living doesn’t always have to be expensive or complicated.
Every homemade swap may seem small, but over time, it saves money, reduces waste, and nourishes the family a little better. 🥛🌾
