𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | Bravehearts Tracksters Fall Short in PRISAA Finals
SUBIC, ZAMBALES—The LCUP Athletics Team fought through the final stretch of the PRISAA Regional Games 2026, delivering strong showings across several events despite falling short of a podium finish.
Endurance took center stage for Anthony Lavente, who emptied the tank in the 1500-meter dash to finish sixth before returning to the oval for another grind, placing fifth in the 400 meters against a tough field of regional runners.
Standing as the squad’s lone queen on the field, Angel Rodriguez carried the Bravehearts’ banner in the discus, javelin, and shot put finals. Rodriguez landed seventh place across all three events, showing consistency and composure in the throwing circle.
Over the hurdles, Justine Pagtalunan powered through the 110-meter hurdles to claim fifth place while also earning finals berths in both the 100-meter and 200-meter hurdles.
Meanwhile, the throwing circle saw Lennard Laguerta and Marc Gonzales battling their way into the finals of both the discus and javelin events, pushing through a stacked field of competitors in pursuit of a late medal surge.
Though the medals remained just out of reach, the Bravehearts’ campaign reflected grit and perseverance—fuel for a stronger comeback in future competitions.
