🇵🇭⛳ Rianne Malixi earns preseason ANNIKA Award nod!

Duke sophomore Rianne Malixi has been named among the 24 players on the 2026-27 ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel Preseason Watch List, putting the Filipina standout among the top names in US collegiate women’s golf.

Malixi is coming off a sensational freshman season, posting a 70.61 stroke average, one victory, five top-five finishes and seven top-20 finishes in eight tournaments.

The Manila native also earned WGCA National Freshman of the Year, Golfweek and WGCA First Team All-America, ACC Rookie of the Year and All-ACC honors.

She finished the spring 40-under-par across six stroke-play events and went a perfect 4-0 in match play, including wins at the Old Barnwell Derby Match Play and NCAA Championship.

At the NCAA Championship, Malixi fired a 9-under 279 to finish third overall, closing with three straight rounds in the 60s.

The Philippines will chase a three-peat in the 63rd Putra Cup as the Filipinos plunge into action Sept. 14–18 in Hong Kong.

The Philippines captured the crown in 2024 in Singapore before successfully defending it on home soil last year at Luisita Golf and Country Club in Tarlac.

Returning to lead the title bid are Rolando Bregente, Shinichi Suzuki and Chris Remata, with Bobe Salahog completing the four-man squad.

The greens of Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club turned blue as more than 100 golfers from the legal and business communities—including some of the country’s leading legal eagles—gathered for the 5th Fr. Joaquin Bernas Cup, presented by Romulo Buenaventura.
Established by the Ateneo Law School community, the tournament honors the late constitutionalist, professor, and former Ateneo Law School dean Fr. Joaquin Bernas, SJ.

Bruce repeated her 2022 feat by capturing the Ladies Class A title for the second time, while golf influencer and Ateneo Law alumna Mysty Mendoza, a.k.a. Fairway Tita, took runner-up honors.

Organized by the Ateneo Law Alumni Association, together with Batch 2002, the tournament was not only a day of golf and fellowship but also a fundraising effort for this year’s Grand Alumni Homecoming, set for October 9 at The Fifth at Rockwell.

⛳ Ramos rallies in Indonesia! 🇵🇭

Sean Ramos bounced back from an opening bogey with eight birdies over his final 15 holes to emerge as the Philippines’ top performer at the Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament 2026 at Damai Indah Golf Course in Indonesia on Saturday.

The 26-year-old Filipino fired a strong 14-under-par total to finish solo 22nd, 11 shots behind champion Kevin Akbar of Indonesia, who closed with a sizzling 63.

Ramos also moved to 12th in the Asian Development Tour Order of Merit, with a crucial finish at the season-ending Aramco Invitational Tournament in Saudi Arabia this November ahead. The top 10 earn Asian Tour cards.

Keanu Jahns finished tied for 23rd at 13-under, while Angelo Que tied for 47th at 6-under.

Raymond Dabao successfully defended his title at the 2026 Bacolod Golf & Country Club Class C Championship, overwhelming Australian golfer Simon Thomas, 8 & 7, in the championship match.

Dabao controlled the final from start to finish, closing out the match after just 11 holes to capture his second straight Class C crown.

Another impressive championship run for Dabao, who once again showed his consistency, composure and match-play strength. ⛳🔥
