More than just teaching strokes, I'm building confidence, resilience, and a team spirit that will last a lifetime. Est July 17 2025.

🧡💙 WHY I COACH 💙🧡

I don’t just teach strokes or chase stopwatch times.
I coach to help every child find their own strength.

To show them that discipline builds confidence, that falling behind doesn’t mean you stop, and that every single lap is a step toward being better than you were yesterday.

To help them grow not just as swimmers — but as brave, humble, and resilient people who will carry these values wherever they go.

This is my purpose. This is why I show up. 💪🌊

Liwanag Aquatic Premier Swimmers

It's incredibly tempting to watch amazing swimmers on YouTube, or to see other talented young athletes excel, and then inadvertently compare your child to them. But let me be clear: Comparison is truly the thief of joy, and it's particularly damaging in youth sports. 💔 Every single child has their own unique developmental timeline, their own pace of learning, and their own way of adapting. What works or comes easily for one will absolutely not be the same for another.

Instead of futilely comparing their strokes or speed to online videos or other swimmers – which only creates pressure and unrealistic expectations – let's shift our focus entirely. Cultivate their personal growth through a rock-solid, disciplined attitude, consistent effort, and a truly coachable spirit. That's how true, sustainable progress in swimming is genuinely made, by focusing on the individual, not the comparison!

A Message to Our Valued Sports Parents

Team, as your child's coach, I want to express my gratitude for your incredible support. For our athletes to truly excel and love their sport, it's vital we all work together with clear roles.

- My Role as Coach: I'm here to teach skills, develop strategy, foster teamwork, and guide your child's athletic growth within the sport. My focus is on their development and the team's progress.

- Your Role as Parent: You are the foundation of unconditional love, encouragement, and a balanced perspective. Your support at home, focusing on effort and character, is invaluable.

When we respect these distinct boundaries – Coach is Coach, Parent is Parent – we create the most positive and productive environment for every athlete. Your trust allows me to coach effectively, and your unconditional love allows your child to thrive. Thank you for being such an essential part of our team!
