Retirement has to wait… for both Roglič and Landa.
The rumours that both would retire at the end of this season are not true. Instead, both will leave their current teams and retire with different ones.
It has been confirmed by Marca that Red Bull do not have Primož Roglič in their plans for next season, so he will leave the team. He is expected to ride next season for a team where he will have full freedom to target one more Tour de France stage win. Which team that will be is not yet known, and nothing has been signed so far.
But we already know where Mikel Landa will retire. He will finish his career with his home ProTeam, Euskaltel Euskadi.
So we’ll get to watch these two icons for one more year. So happy to hear that. 🙏🏼
