When the IIEE MMR Millennials Division began, Metro West ruled first with back-to-back championships in 2018 & 2019. Then came Metro East, taking over the throne with four straight titles from 2022–2025. 👑

Now, for the 4th time, these two giants collide in the Finals. ⚔️

Metro West survived a twice-to-beat disadvantage in the semifinals and fought their way back to the biggest stage.

Leading the charge is Engr. John Dizon, a Season 1 veteran who continues to call the shots and fuel the team's pursuit of another championship.

Engr. Rolan Tuppil has evolved into the team's go-to weapon, carving his name among the league's elite players.

Engr. Gilbert Dayapdapan remains a steady and reliable force, while Engr. Alvin Salazar brings the interior presence and physicality that have earned him even greater respect following his Titans stints.

Then came Engr. Khenn Osicos, arguably the face of IIEE Basketball. His arrival in 2023 shocked the MMR—and he answered with back-to-back MVP seasons.

And now, after being sidelined by injuries, reigning MVP Engr. Angelo Barabad is poised for a Finals comeback.

In 2024, Metro South shocked the tournament and took down Metro East. A year later, MEC answered, reclaiming the throne. Now, they meet again—with everything on the line.

With offseason acquisitions Engr. Donald Viray and Engr. Eric Salinding, combined with the leadership of Engr. Albert Espenida and longtime anchor Engr. Sherif Sy, they have steamrolled their way to the Finals.

METRO WEST CHAPTER ADVANCES TO THE FINALS!

The No. 3-seeded IIEE Metro West Chapter Millennials Division proved that heart and resilience can overcome any obstacle, battling through a twice-to-beat disadvantage to eliminate the Metro North Chapter in a thrilling semifinal series. Their dramatic 83–80 sudden-death victory punched Metro West's ticket to the MMR Finals.

Facing adversity, Metro West found itself trailing by as many as 22 points in the third quarter. But instead of folding under pressure, the team responded with grit, composure, and unwavering belief. Fueled by relentless energy from Engr. Rolan Tuppil, Metro West mounted an unforgettable comeback that will be remembered as one of the tournament's greatest rallies.

Engr. Tuppil led the charge on both ends of the floor, inspiring his teammates with his hustle, leadership, and determination. He erupted for a team-high 26 points, including three three-pointers that sparked Metro West's fourth-quarter surge and shifted the momentum completely in their favor.

Now riding a wave of confidence, Metro West advances to its sixth MMR Finals appearance, where it will face the defending four-time consecutive champion, Metro East Chapter. The rivalry is set to add another memorable chapter as Metro West looks to end Metro East's reign and capture the championship.

It all comes down to one final game between the #3-seeded Metro West Chapter Millennials Division and the #2-seeded Metro North Chapter Millennials Division in what promises to be the perfect ending to one of the fiercest rivalries of the 8th MMR Tournament.

Their story began on Opening Day when Engr. JC Mallabo knocked down the game-winning basket to give Metro North the victory and the early edge in the standings.

Metro West answered back in Game 1 of the semifinals, proving that the twice-to-beat disadvantage meant nothing as Engr. Gilbert Dayapdapan delivered a heroic performance to keep their championship hopes alive.

Now, with the series tied, there are no more second chances.

🏀 26-0 and a 6th Straight Finals Appearance for IIEE Metro East Chapter Millennials! 🏆

IIEE Metro East Chapter's Millennials Division overcame the red-hot shooting of Metro Central Chapter to close out their semifinal series with an 81–75 victory.

Metro Central threw everything they had from beyond the arc, keeping the game close from start to finish. However, Metro East consistently answered with efficient scoring inside the paint and timely baskets whenever momentum shifted.

Once again, Engr. Khenn Osicos delivered an outstanding all-around performance, leading another balanced offensive attack with a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds. His experience, composure, and leadership were on full display on both ends of the floor, helping Metro East secure the hard-fought win.

With the victory, IIEE Metro East Chapter's Millennials Division advances to the MMR Finals for the sixth consecutive season and will now chase a historic 5-PEAT Championship.

Engr. Osicos and the rest of the Metro East Millennials squad now await the winner of the semifinal showdown between Metro West and Metro North.

🏀 IIEE Metro South Chapter Gen-X Division Wins a Double-Overtime Semifinal Classic! 🔥

The IIEE Metro South Chapter (MSC) Gen-X Division punched its ticket to the MMR Finals for the third straight season after outlasting Metro West in a thrilling double-overtime battle, 96–86.

Metro South came out strong and looked poised to close out the game early. However, Metro West had other plans, mounting a spirited comeback and even taking the lead late in the fourth quarter and during the overtime periods.

When MSC needed someone to step up, Engr. Alden Arayata answered the call. He delivered timely and clutch baskets down the stretch to help seal the hard-fought victory. Arayata finished with a team-high 23 points, including two three-pointers, leading Metro South back to the championship stage.

With the semifinal win, the Metro South Chapter Gen-X Division will face the Metro East Chapter Gen-X Division in the MMR Finals for the third consecutive year, setting the stage for another exciting chapter in their growing rivalry.
