During the week a presentation of rugby balls was made to our affiliated leagues running junior rugby league from around the province.

These committed and passionate individuals are the backbone of community rugby league week in week out making things happen.

Matthew Johns recent visit to PNG said "Forget about money.. The greatest challenge is the ability to identify and nurture talent from the far reaching areas - the untouched regions where our sport has happened to infiltrate and dominate people's lives"

The biggest achievement by far for this Franchise would be to see Morea Morea Jnr and Gairo Voro sign on a full NRL contract with the PNG Chiefs

Being the Central Dabaris very own home grown players Morea Morea debut in round 8, 2022 and Gairo Voro debut in round 3, 2023 into the PNG National Rugby League Competition.

Morea Morea burst into the Digicel Cup as a fresh faced 19 year old kid straight from Papa Village and after graduating from Iarowari Agriculture Technical School was also selected in the merit PNG Schoolboys side in 2020.

Gairo Voro (17yrs) also a star in the making playing 9s rugby league for his beloved Viriolo Sharks village team before being scouted by the franchise.
