PNGs debutant Para Taekwondo Team to a Paralympic Games - 2024 Paralympics, Paris France.

Team comprised Manega Tapari +67kg and Herea Loi -65kg, Coach Edward Kassman, Manageress Susan Sere and Jacqueline Travertz and medic Dr Jag Maharaj.

The team would also owes it's heartfelt thank you to Dr Brendon Korawaro, Dr Ivan B. Ravu and Professor Ashanti Ramirez for laying the foundational work to get the athletes off to a good start and eventually make it to the Games..

Public announent to Taekwondo Athletes and Clubs around PNG 🇵🇬

It has come to our attention that a person by the name of Robert Maaore is posting false information out regarding the PNG Games Taekwondo event.

Be informed that the Taekwondo event on the 28th of November is going ahead as scheduled and has been made aware to the Oceania Taekwondo Union and the international head organization of the sport named World Taekwondo.

Furthermore, Mr Robert and the former Executive are no longer Executives members as their terms as an executive member has expired as of the 15th May 2026 and therefore have no authority over any Taekwondo affairs in the country nor can dictate to any Taekwondo Clubs in PNG what to and not to do.

Mr Robert is welcome to field a team if he does have athletes as we understand he has close to or well over 10 Clubs nationwide who have not participated in any of PNGs Taekwondo tournaments since 2015.

Information packages regarding the PNG Games Taekwondo event have been sent out and we encourage all Clubs to participate or miss this opportunity of competition, comaradary, unity and promotion of our sport - Taekwondo.

August has been a busy month so far..

Clubs now preparing for the PNG National Games November 28th 2026✌🏽🎉🌴🇵🇬

The Seminar is open to the general public and covers various self-defense techniques and scenarios.

The Self-defense seminar will be held at the Chairman's lounge, Sir John Guise Stadium with registration open at 8am and kick starts at 9am tomorrow🙏🏽💝🌴🇵🇬
