2026 event announcement.

Hi Awa followers...

Last week we had to make the difficult decision to cancel the 2025 Awa Adventure Run.

A combination of low entry numbers and rising costs greatly increased the risk that we wouldn't be able to deliver an event that meets the expectations of participants.

All entrants were emailed about the cancellation last Thursday. We will also be in contact individually to discuss the details needed to process refunds.

What does the future hold for the Awa Adventure Run? No decision has been made about future events beyond this year. If there is a resurgence in support for events like this, we will definitely consider an event for 2026.

We are also exploring other event options in the Whanganui region.

2025 NZ MASTERS GAMES - TRAIL RUNNING EVENT

Just two more sleeps and then it’s trail running day at the 2025 NZ Masters Games. We were out there marking out the course today. It is in fantastic dry condition. But it is going to be a hot one!!
