Netball Wellington Centre

Last week we put the South Wellington Intermediate School netball team through their paces with a NetballSmart Tournament Preparation session before they venture off to compete at AIMS Games. Now they're in the best frame of mind to keep their eyes on the prize & finish on a high! Team members, coaches & manager know why preventing injury is so important - if you speak up & deal with small niggles like blisters, sore fingers & rolled ankles quickly you'll dodge the need to miss out on game time. Sleeping well, putting the right food in our bodies before & after we play, replacing lost sweat by drinking enough water & sharing the load between all team members really can make all the difference. What an event! Extremely proud of all of our players, coaches, managers, umpires, umpire panel members & event organisers for your impressive performances at the 2026 Lower North Island Secondary Schools Netball Tournament held at Ākau Tangi Sports Centre. It sure is a test of endurance powering up for five full-on days in a row so please take care to replenish body, mind & soul with plenty of good kai & grab well-earned rest! Although our Winter Season is over, we’ve had the pleasure of being the host Centre for Lower North Island Secondary Schools Netball which started on Sunday!
