Island Bay Bowling Club

Police will be conducting a training exercise in Wellington this week.

The training will take place at The Parade, Island Bay between 9am and 2pm on both Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 August.

Residents will see ‘Police exercise’ signs clearly visible in the area, and a number of Police staff in high-vis gear.

There will be some loud bangs heard throughout the exercise, however there is no need to be alarmed, as this is part of the training.

We would like to thank the public in advance for their understanding and support during this exercise.

Not long now until the locker room will be ready to be loaded up with bowling bags 🎳 Check out how the boys are putting together the shelving 🪚

Amazing - but not surprising - our wonderful women’s champ fours have qualified and are through to the quarter finals of the national champ of champs representing Island Bay and the Centre Bowls Wellington. So exciting!! Hopefully we get to see them on the tv through YouTube.

With our club going through the rebuild our women members decided to catch up at the 1852 Pub & Kitchen for a fun night and delicious dinner. Next time we might even invite the men 😉🌺
