My name is Tina Mills. I'm a longarm machine quilter, based in Heretaunga, Upper Hutt, 5 minutes from the Silverstream traffic lights on SH2. I use a Nolting 24 pro longarm quilting machine, with Coats Dual Duty thread. I have a large selection of digital pantograph designs to choose from. I can baste your quilts ready for handquilitng or machine quilting at home. I have 2 battings in stock. Wool/

New iron brought weeks ago… finally opened and switched her on 🎁
With a tired wrist, the idea was to reduce the movement of lifting and turning every time I press a unit of my quilt block. 💃

Are you sewing today? I’m putting a binding onto this beautiful quilt today. I’m attaching the binding to the back so I can fold it over to the front of the quilt and top stitch it down by machine.
This quilt is the jandal quilt from Robyn’s quilting stash. Members of Capital Quilters NZ were asked to take a quilt top home and to quilt and bind and return it for donating as a community quilt.

WHO AM I? WHERE DID MY NAME COME FROM ??
About 15 years ago, I brought my Nolting Longarm Quilting machine and IntelliQuilter. I choose this beautiful peacock mural wallpaper for my feature wall. It was hung in a tiny little room at the back of the garage and it just fitted my Longarm quilting machine. I was up running at 6am most mornings with a small group of women so I named myself THE RUNNING PEACOCK QUILTER. We moved about 11 years ago and I still miss this wallpaper. I don’t have a full wall to hang it again, so it will live in my memories 🏃🏼‍♀️🦚🪡🧵

My Mum brought me this little wrist pin cushion ~10 years ago. It’s so handy when I need pins while longarm quilting. No more hunting for pins, or reaching back behind me to grab some…
