Why did we start Ride Retreat?
It came from wanting to create something that didn't exist.
Rotorua has some of the best mountain biking on the planet. Brook's spent years riding and racing at the top level. We kept coming back to the same thought: why not bring those two things together properly?
Not just "come ride some trails," but the whole experience. Riding incredible tracks. Learning from someone who's actually lived at the pointy end of the sport. Eating properly good food. Slowing down and recovering, actually enjoying Rotorua instead of just passing through it.
A few days where you don't have to think about the logistics, just show up, ride, and leave feeling like you've genuinely had a break.
That's what we wanted Ride Retreat to be. And we're pretty stoked we get to share it with people from all over the world.

BROOK'S TRAIL NOTES // 001 📍 Maiden Voyage
If I only had one trail to recommend in Rotorua, Maiden Voyage would be right up there.
I've ridden it more times than I could count, and it never gets old. The flow is unreal, the dirt is at its best after a couple of days of rain, and if you time it for late afternoon, you'll catch some of the best light in the forest.
