🖤❤️Last big appreciation post ❤️🖤
When we decided to start the academy at the end of last year. Fate had it that we connected with two amazing humans. Darren and Angela Soroka.
Darren, Angela and their business Football Unlimited became the provider of our kit and equipment with Joma.
Since working with these champions, they have shown what great partnership can look like. Our parents have been incredibly impressed with their comms, quality of product and their trouble shooting when wrong sizes have been spotted or ordered.
These guys have gone beyond just providing exceptional service and gear, they have become whānau.
We really love these guys and hope that any time you need football or Futsal gear, you consider them first ❤️🏆✅

My hope was to put something together at Napier, but the stars didn’t align with all our kids together at the same time!! 🤦♂️
Our last sponsor, thanks to the Kingsland whānau, managed to get every player a bag and bottle from Unison.
Our kids looked epic all with their Vegas Kit, Unison bag and their Unison Bottles.
We got so much feedback about how awesome we looked and asked continually about where we came from.

Day 3 came with some great results and placings for Vegas!!! We are beyond proud ❤️🏆
U9- Unfortunately one of the top teams dropped a game which dropped us to playing off between 5-7th place for our Vegas Babies. A win against East Auckland 5-1 and a win against Hawke’s Bay 7-1 meant we finished the tournament in 5th place. This team really played some great Futsal, scored some epic goals and gave us so many laughs (and headaches 😬)
U11- made the semis for top 4 out of 14 teams- unfortunately they went down to eventual winners Samba 1-6 and then Hawke’s Bay 1-4 (4th place). This team showed so much grit, skill and talent throughout the tournament and were the crowd favourites to win. Very proud!
U13 Girls- two wins today both 3-0. One against Hamilton and the second against Ginga meant we won the plate (9th place). These girls really turned it on in days 2 & 3 and started to play great Futsal with some awesome passing and intensity. Great way to finish unbeaten in their final four games.
U13 Boys- one game today against Hawke’s Bay. This game was a game of two halves. 2-2 at half time. We hit the frame of the goal about 5 times….
20 odd shots struck around the goal but there must have been a magnet keeping the ball out 😂
Boys eventually went on to win 6-3. (11th place)
U15 Boys- Great first game against FourZero from Hamilton with a 2-2 draw and a post being hit with 5 secs left meant we thought we had the winner… 🤦♂️
Second game against Papakura City wasn’t to be. A 0-1 loss from an error at the back was the difference, however the boys lifted and left everything on the pitch. Could have easily gone the other way. (10th place)

Overall, a phenomenal first tourney for Vegas!!
So great to see the smiles, skill, connection and passion from all our Vegas whānau.
So proud of how this pipe dream of Lee and mine has begun and we are excited about where it may go next 🖤❤️

🖤❤️That’s a wrap on Day 2❤️🖤
First tournament and all teams have exceeded our expectations!!! So proud of our Vegas whānau!!
U9’s- 2-6 loss to top of the table Samba, 2-5 loss to Hawke’s Bay and then 5-3 win against Verto FC. With an unbeaten day 1 they look to play off for 3/4th tomorrow.
U11’s- still unbeaten… 5-2 win against East Auckland, 2-2 draw with Hawke’s Bay and then a 5-4 win in the quarter final vs Palmerston North. Semi vs Samba tomorrow.
U13 boys- had a great win against Gisborne 5-3, beat the Australian Futsal Academy 3-2, however lost to Hawke’s Bay 0-2. Play off for Plate 3/4th tomorrow.
U13 girls- 1-1 draw with Hamilton today and 13-0 win against Ginga Futsal. They play off for 9th place tomorrow. Unfortunately an unlucky day one has knocked them out of top 8, but now our girls are clicking into gear.
U15 Boys- great work today. First up a loss to power house Palmerston North Marist 1-7, however a win vs Hawke’s Bay 5-4 and Titans academy 5-3 finished the day off nicely for these champions.
Overall a great second day. Our coaches have been like headless chickens running court to court, but we have loved the whole experience!!! Thanks to those parents that have offered help, told us to stop and eat, thrown us some Powerades and Redbulls to keep us going!! It hasn’t gone unnoticed 🙏

Awesome first day for the Hawke’s Bay Futsal Youth Championships!!
U9’s are unbeaten with two draws and a win. Palmerston North Marist 3-3, Hawke’s Bay Futsal 5-1 and East Auckland 2-2.
U11’s- two huge wins today 8-0 over Titans Academy and 7-0 over Ginga Academy.
U13 Boys- close loss to Hawke’s Bay 3-2 and a loss to Titans academy 4-1. Very tough competition.
U13 Girls lost to the Australian Futsal Academy Rep team 3-2 and then lost to Titan’s 3-2.
U15 Boys fell by one goal to the Australian Futsal team also 2-1 and then just lost in the dying seconds against East Auckland 5- 4 in an intense goal fest.
We now head into Day 2 looking forward to more tough competition, learning and Futsal fun!!
