Morena everyone, Our wahine team have defaulted this weekends game vs Mango Hawks due to a lot being mauiui and recovering from injury.

Don’t get me wrong. The tough buggers were still trying to play however the management staff wouldn’t be doing their jobs if we allowed them to play and get others sick.

On that note…… Good luck to all the teams taking the field one last time this season for finals.

Whānau vs whānau. Cousins vs cousins, aunties vs nieces.

Our wāhine are lacing the boots up once again, ready to have another crack and build on everything they learnt last weekend. One thing's for sure... they'll leave it all out on the paddock.

What a way to kick off the season! 💚🧡

Our wāhine had their very first hit-out today, and what a game it was. There were definitely a few nerves at the start but as the game went on you could see the confidence grow. They got hungrier for the ball, backed themselves and started playing some awesome footy.

Their defence was solid, they put into action what they've been learning at training, their runs got stronger and best of all... they never stopped encouraging each other.

The energy, positivity and heart they showed right through to the final whistle was nothing short of amazing.

To all our ladies, especially those who had never been tackled before, we hope you're incredibly proud of yourselves. You faced your fears, dug deep and played like absolute champions. 💪

This is only the beginning. Keep believing in yourselves because the future is looking bright. So proud of every single one of you. 💚🧡
