Big news for Porirua and our local riding community!

The proposed Porirua Adventure Park on Rangituhi/Colonial K**b cleared another major hurdle at Council on Thursday. With Canadian tourism developers, Ridge North America, stepping in to back the project, the dream of having a world-class outdoor hub right in our backyard is moving closer to reality.

Here at FS Cycles, we couldn’t be more stoked about what this means for local riders, families, and mountain biking in our region:

✅ Local trail support & gear - we’ll be here to keep your bikes tuned, prepped, and running smoothly for every lap

WEEKEND FAMILY RIDE: SKILLS, FUN & GAMES!

Parents, want to sharpen your skills and keep up with your kids?
Kids, want to show off your moves and play some epic bike games?
Then this session is for you!

Our Weekend Family Ride is designed for parents by themselves, or parents and kids together. We are offering skill training for the parents to help boost confidence and help you keep up with your kids, followed by a group practice ride matching your ability, and fun and games for everyone!

Mark your calendars, because our shop ride is coming up this Sunday!

Whether you’re a regular on our rides or looking to join for the first time, we’d love to have you along. It’s a great excuse to get out on the trails, meet some fellow riders, and grab a well-earned drink afterward. All riders are welcome!

NIGHT RIDING SESSIONS ARE ALL GO!

Ready for an unforgettable winter experience on the trails? There is nothing quite like the thrill of riding in the dark!

Our Night Riding Sessions are designed to teach riders how to safely navigate the trails after dark while building confidence and having an absolute blast.

Who: Ages 9–14

Location: Rangituhi/Colonial K**b

Cost: $90 per person (covers all 4 sessions)

To keep everyone safe out there, riders will need a couple of extra bits of gear:
Front light: Minimum of 1000 lumens
Rear light: Rear-facing red light

🚨 Under 16s & Parents:
Want a free day out on the trails? We love seeing the next generation tearing it up, so we highly recommend all U16 riders bring along an adult chaperone. To make it a true family day out, chaperone adults will ride for free (non-timed) - just register on the day.
