Kiaora whanau We had a blast in Te Teko Taku fought his first Unpadded fight, it was a banger from the start, Taku showed power timing ring craft, but also showed he has a lot to learn, he dominated the first round but exerted too much energy gaining dominance in the first, his opponent was able to sn**ch up round 2 and finishing Taku in the third. Behind the glory of this sport is a brutal word of disappointment but that’s where we grow 💯 that’s what we take away is the lessons
We are super proud of our man’s performance it takes guts to up there and fight Osssss

Big ups to his opponent for the opportunity 🙏🏼
And big thankyou to Otakiri Fight Department for an awesome show and a way to memorialise Grandmaster Tojo 🥊

On to the next 🦂

Our first in House show was a blast show casing our little kids and big kids now we have upped the anti and have invited other clubs from around the bay of plenty to come and compete.

A grassroots show design to showcase Skill, Discipline and heart. A good way for firstimers and novices fighters to build confidence in a no Knockout system that allows competitors to feel safe and put on a great show 🔥💪

October 10th see you all there

Morena whanau, Yesterday was Dekotas last training session at SCFC Opotiki Kickboxing/Boxing her and her whanau will be venturing up to the far north to start their new lives, praying them all the best. Dekota like Tiana was among the first trio of kids to compete under the SCFC banner One of the OGs. Not only was she among the first but she was the first, and she is the one that solidified that what i was teaching rangatahi was worthy, getting the win in her first fight. She graced the ring 3 times earning her 2 Golds and a Silver, Dekota has been a team leader in the club, coached classes, cornered fighters, played parts at bigger events, and reached the highest level any jnr in SCFC can reach and thats the grade KURO ⬛️ Dekota anf her whanau have all been a huge part of our club from day one, her and her siblings all trained and even her Mother, who also fought once for the club, an outstanding achievement for a mother. Dekota we will miss you and I pray that the lord protect you and your whanau in all that yous do ✝️ bon voyage Kota and untill we meet again 🙌🥊🦂

Ps. In 1 week 2 originals left the building 😢🤣

Got a visit this afternoon from one of the OG kids.
Tiana was among the first lot of kids that competed under the SCFC banner. Although I was surprised and happy to see her. This afternoon she also brang a box of her Kickboxing gears and donated them back to the club. Tiana was one of the toughest students to ever grace our gym, pure gritt and a ferocious fighter, this girl could throw hands 🔥👊 although I'm sad to see her leave. I'm super proud to have been her coach and been apart of her journey 💯 may the Lord protect you and your whanau Tiana ✝️ Godbless and see yah in the future champ 🦂
