A facility that makes use of the LWIC irrigation holding pond. We have 10 small yachts and 15 kayaks, along with the necessary safety equipment available.
With the tremendous support of the Meridian, the Otago Community Trust, the Waitaki District Council and many businesses and locals we have 10 small yachts, about 15 kayaks and the necessary safety equipment. A large storage shed been built to accommodate the non-motorised boats. The facility is available to families through a key system for $75/season (1st September- 30th April) or for group hire/schools at $50/half day, $100/full day.
⚠️🛑 Ferry Road Pond is closed this Saturday 7th February for a private booking 🛑⚠️
If you would like to make a booking or buy a season pass for the remainder of the season, get in contact now. Still plenty of time to have some fun on the water ⛵️🛶

🐝🐝 WORKING BEE 🐝🐝
⏱️ Sunday 29th Sept from 1pm
With the new season starting tomorrow the shed and equipment need a spring clean 🧹🧽 and sort out 🔧🪛.
The LWWST committee would greatly appreciate more support in the upkeep of this great facility. Many hands make light work.

A huge THANKS to Meridian Energy for supporting the Lower Waitaki Water Sports Park and our community. 🛶⛵🙏🏼
Through their Power Up Community Fund the pond was able to purchase new life jackets in a range of sizes to keep our users safe on the water. 🌊😁
Papakaio School took them out for a test run on Friday! 👍🏼
🔴PSA TO POND USERS🔴
The current water supply to the ponds bathroom facilities is unusable. The toilet is still available for use but please use a bucket with water from the pond to flush the toilet and for hand washing.
We are working to resolve the issue. Apologies for the inconvenience.
