Saturday Recap – Ministock Best Pairs 🏁

On Saturday we raced at home for the Ministock Best Pairs, teamed up with 27P Taylah Rose 🤝

Race 1: Started Grid 12 – Ashton worked his way through the field to finish a solid 5th 💪
Race 2: Started Grid 27 – tried to push through traffic, bringing it home in 20th
Race 3: Started Grid 8 – got into the lead and was battling for 1st before a red light saw Ashton sent off, resulting in a DNF

Unfortunately, it just wasn’t our night. Big congratulations to the podium getters 👏

This Weekend 👀

We’re back racing at home for one last hit-out for the season!
Then Sunday we head to Oceanview Speedway for the Heiby Youth 🏁

This will also be Ashton’s final Ministock meeting… 👀

Wanganui Warriors Teams Challange!

On Saturday we Raced as a support class for the Teams Challange!

Race 1: Grid 2 - 2nd Ashton drove the wheels off his car to hold 2nd place aswell as jumping into the lead for a while.

Race 2: Grid 14- Dnf unfortunately after coming in contact with another car, he retired to the infield with an outside flat

Race 3: Grid 22- 10th Ashton managed to make his way up to 10th in a hard and fast field!

Woodford Glen Ministock Challenge!

Race 1: Grid 7 - 1st unfortunately was relegated 4 spots.
Race 2: Grid 19 - 7th
Race 3: Grid 10- 2nd

This put Ashton sitting on grid 2 in the final unfortunately getting spun in lap 1 cost him a podium but that’s racing finishing 11th!

Well that wraps up our debut in the South Island! Couldn’t be more stoked to be doing this with my best mates and making the trip down together. Awesome experience racing at a new track and meeting some great people along the way.

Night 1 results: 5–4, 9–2, relegated to 4th, and 18–8. A solid first night for us with some good racing and plenty learned.

Night 2 results: 5–2, 8–6, 18–13. Another good night with some strong runs and good battles on track.

Overall a really good weekend with great people around us. A few things we could’ve done better, but that’s motorsport always learning, improving, and coming back stronger. Huge thanks to everyone who helps make this possible and supports us along the way.
