Oscars team are currently in Vegas. We have a three day tournament here in the melting heat. All our players will be heading to watch the Jnr NBL games today.

We have had a couple of teams register. The first game will be at 5pm. If everyone that has registered an interesting playing could arrive at the KC gym from 4:30pm.

Well we have lasted this long but now it’s time to cut his hair.

Oscar Parlour will be cutting his hair this Friday afternoon. His hair will be dontated and funds raised will go towards his next lot of basketball adventures, which are many, for 2026.

With support from LCP Basketball Academy we will be running basketball games this Friday, 30th January from Kaitaia College Gym. Times will depend on the number of registrations we receive.

You can register a team or as an individual player it’s up to you.

Oscar Parlour - Hair Cut It is time! After more than 9 years Oscar is cutting his hair! His hair will be donated to the Cancer Society for wigs and we are using this to help raise finds for Oscars many basketball events throughout 2026. Time for our bonus training session to get underway. So stoked for our kids not having to travel to Auckland for training.

What an awesome opportunity to host Coach Jeff today. Some new drills and skills and lots of energy.

We have been given an amazing opportunity to host Coach Jefferson L Codera this Saturday, 10th January 2026. In Kaitaia!!

Known as the Man of a Million Drills, Coach Jefferson L Codera is from the Golden State Warriors basketball academy and he is providing Basketball skills clinics for players age 8 – adults.

Coach Codera has been holding clinics in Whangarei and has offered us a spot from 1pm - 2pm.

The session will be held at the Kaitaia College Gym, Pukepoto Rosd, Kāitaia

He will also be working with our LCP Elite players earlier in the day.

Two of our LCP players Oscar Parlour and Aio Chapman are heading to play at the Eltham Dandenong Basketball Tournament in Melbourne, Australia.

They will be flying out on the 19th January.

To support them, Coach Rangi Lewis will be running a basketball holiday programme on the 8th and 9th January at the Kaitaia College Gym.

Age groups are 10yr - 13yr and 14yr - 16yr. Two time slots.

Funds raised from this will go toward their travel costs and both will be there to help on both dates.
