Another big day in the pool for our awesome group of swimmers and more great results all round. We have had relatively little down time with such a condensed program, but there has certainly been lots of fun and laughter leading into the final day of racing!

The first day of racing is complete and our team certainly rose to the occasion. The morning saw some huge performances and plenty of PB’s which followed on to an equally successful finals session in the afternoon.

🖤💛💙**SOUTH ISLAND SHORT COURSE CHAMPS 2026**

Wishing the very best of luck to our team of ten Waverley swimmers racing at the South Island Short Course Champs in Dunedin this weekend. Great to have Caitlin and Londyn joining us from Murihiku Swimming Club for the trip and Madi as our awesome team coach! Looking forward to some great racing, lots of fun and even more memories🤩

🖤💛💙 **SOUTHLAND SHORT COURSE CHAMPS**

We saw an impressive display of racing by our Waverley team of 12 at the Southland Short Course Champs last weekend. The PB’s were coming thick and fast along with more NZ Short-course qualifying times.

Our relay teams were also out to impress with first place finishes for all three of our teams!

Congratulations to all of our swimmers and thanks once again to all of our parent helpers.

🖤💛💙 Things have been relatively quiet on the local scene, but that hasn’t stopped some of our swimmers heading up to Otago for some racing.

Lexi hit the South Otago Sharks meet at the end of July, with three podium finishes and a huge PB in her 200m Freestyle.

Bodie, Maddox and Elsie competed at the Otago Short Course Champs last weekend and certainly put a Waverley stamp on the results!

🖤💛💙**SOUTHLAND SWIM SERIES #3**

There was a lot at stake at the final meet of the Southland Swim Series, with cash prizes for the most points scored across the three events.

Our swimmers did not disappoint! With 58 individual entries for the Waverley team, we had 1st place finishes in 50% of the entries and 76% placings - pretty impressive for the end of the school holidays!

Huge congratulations to Ted, Eilidh and Bodie who all took out the top spot in their age group for the Swim Series points race and to Lucas, Xandri, Elsie and Maddox, who also scored cash prizes for finishing in the top three 💵 💵 💵

Thanks as always to our awesome crew of volunteers who helped on the day!
