Blake and Dylan on track together for the first time! So unreal to watch them race together!

Sunday night also seen Dylan jump in Blake’s EL Falcon to have a go in the streetstock class, after a few repairs and a new seat mounted thanks for Corry Edward TeRito, Dylan was set to hit the track!

Race 1 grid 18 DNF due to hitting the key by accident and turning his car off after spinning a car out

Race 2 grid 9 finished 15th

Race 3 grid 3 finished 8th let’s just say he has a new nickname Wreck it Ralph! He definitely wasn’t afraid to put the bumper in to say the least!

The car is a bit second hand after race 3 but Dylan had a ball and has the bug now!!

On Sunday night Streetstock 290s were on the program for the Superstock teams final night.
After a couple of weeks off for Blake in the soarer trying to tackle over heating and engine miss, he decided to change the water pump and also did a new power steering pump as he has not been racing with power steering all season. We loaded up on Sunday morning with the hope Blake would finally be able to get a good meeting in, unfortunately that wasn’t the case he had to pull off after lap 9 due to the same issues! Blake went back out in race 2 and was looking good with Blake taking the lead for 7 laps before the car started to lose power and falling back to finish 4th, back in the pits it looked like the alternator wasn’t working losing all power to the car and wasn’t able to make it out for the final race of the night.

Unfortunate end for Dylan’s ministock season with what was meant to be his aging out meeting on the 4th of April at his home track after the car was sent away for repairs after the damage caused in the inter-club race during the Feature Of Speedway meeting at Huntly was a rush to get it ready but with the help from Andrew Wright and Shane Bracken they got it done and Dylan was able to get back in the seat for the last time due to him turning 17 on the 5th that was his time in a ministock over! All was going well till we got to Waikaraka Park to find out due to track conditions SNZ didn’t sign the track off to allow the meeting to proceed so that was the end unfortunately. Been a huge two seasons for Dylan is the ministock travelling the North Island with our speedway family.
