8:00 AM - Venue opens (Eastland Badminton Centre, 134 Roebuck Road, Gisborne)

8:15AM - Tournament briefing

6:00 PM - End of Day 1

August 30, 2026

8:15AM - Warm-Up / Reminders

8:30AM - Start of matches

i. Please arrive on time for briefing each day. it is recommended to be in the venue at least 2 hours before the start of your game. Be always ready to play as matches can be called up to 1 hour earlier than scheduled.
We will call your name twice, and if you are not around, we reserve the right to default your game.

ii. Please warm-up before your game! 2-3min will be allowed for both teams.

ii. Scoring will be rally point system to 21 points (best of 3 games) for Intermediate and Competitive Categories and 15 points (best of 3 games) for Social Category. This may change depending on timing and schedule changes.

iv. Please be ready to umpire or be a linesman (if asked) for the games. We will appreciate it if you could volunteer to help.

v. Bring your own food and water/drinks. There is a water fountain at the hall which could be handy if you bring your own water bottle.

- Promote future tournaments, events, and club activities (online and in print).
- Include in community news, event recaps, and club newsletters.
What You Should Know
- No Payments: Media participation is voluntary as part of attending our events, and no financial compensation or royalties are provided.
- Editing Rights: The club reserves the right to edit, crop, or format photos and videos for promotional materials without needing prior approval.
Under-18 Players
- If a player is under 18, registering them for the tournament means their parent or legal guardian agrees to this photo and video policy on their behalf.
Need an Exception?
- We respect your privacy. If you have specific privacy or safety concerns, please contact the committee in writing at least 48 hours before the tournament begins. While we will do our best to respect individual requests, please note that we cannot completely eliminate background appearances in general venue shots or live tournament

Our Annual Car Wash Fundraiser is planned for Saturday 20th June outside @ Kevin Hollis Glass from 12noon. This fundraiser goes towards our U13/U15/U17/U19 junior teams going away to attend the National Junior Teams Event in Palmerston North.

All are welcome, please pop down, its heaps of fun. Also we can sell baking on the day as well - so any players not able to help out on the day can also do some baking and organise to drop this off.

When you come down please bring - sponges, buckets, car cleaning gear, towels and car cleaner liquid, not all of the above but some of the above will be great. This fundraiser is a great event and brings the kids together as well. Kids can get quite wet, so bring a change of clothes - those hoses are a little hard to control sometimes!!
