More on Matty, Fran, Bob and Patsy as it turns out and as promised..

You donโ€™t get many racing yarns like this every weekend!

Longtime Westport breeder โ€” ๐˜ฝ๐™ค๐™— ๐™ƒ๐™ž๐™œ๐™œ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™จ โ€” has at last and somehow bred ๐™ฉ๐™ฌ๐™ค ๐™๐™–๐™ก๐™›โ€‘๐™จ๐™ž๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™š๐™ง๐™จ to win classic race qualifiers on ๐™ค๐™ฅ๐™ฅ๐™ค๐™จ๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™š ๐™จ๐™ž๐™™๐™š๐™จ ๐™ค๐™› ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™ฅ๐™ก๐™–๐™ฃ๐™š๐™ฉ โ€” ๐™ค๐™ฃ ๐™ฉ๐™๐™š ๐™จ๐™–๐™ข๐™š ๐™™๐™–๐™ฎ!

One smashing North Americaโ€™s best at ๐™ˆ๐™ค๐™๐™–๐™ฌ๐™ .
One punching her ticket to ๐˜พ๐™ช๐™ฅ ๐˜ฟ๐™–๐™ฎ at ๐˜ผ๐™จ๐™๐™—๐™ช๐™ง๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™ฃ.
Same bloodline. Same breeder. Same day.

Stop It?
True Story!
One of the best harness racing yarns so far this year!

OM Actual G!
Did you hear the harness racing yarn bout the guy from Westport, SI, NZ who bred the best mare in the world right now and her half- sister to win classic races in both hemispheres on the same day?!

Stop It?!
No, True Story!
Bob Higgins.
'Francent' at Mohawk somewhere near Toronto in 1.48 no less.
'Matty Nevin' Heat 2 of The Nevele R Stud Series at Ashburton somewhere near Christchurch!

More to come but huge day Bob! Congrats all around!

โ€˜NEVELE R 2โ€™ BRINGS THE HEAT TO ASHVEGAS!

Yahoo! The last winter weekend down under and Heat 2 of the 2026 Nevele R Series!

A perfect measure of where ๐™Ž๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™Š๐™› ๐™Ž๐™š๐™–๐™จ sits among this fleet of threeโ€‘yearโ€‘old fillies.

Front and centre of the class this week: ๐™‰๐™–๐™ฉ๐™๐™–๐™ฃ ๐™’๐™ž๐™ก๐™ก๐™ž๐™–๐™ข๐™จ๐™ค๐™ฃ and Price Bloodstock. Theyโ€™ve tagged in ๐™„๐™ฃ๐™™๐™ช๐™ก๐™œ๐™š ๐™ˆ๐™š and sheโ€™ll be coming from the top turnbuckle after an unbeaten August.

The 1700m shortโ€‘course at Ashburton should make it closer than a twoโ€‘horse race for a long way.

๐™Œ๐™ช๐™š๐™š๐™ฃ ๐™‡๐™ž๐™ฏ๐™ฏ๐™ฎ's back from being the deserved favourite last time, as is her wellโ€‘backed stablemate ๐™ˆ๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ฉ๐™ฎ ๐™‰๐™š๐™ซ๐™ž๐™ฃ.

Itโ€™s not all doom and gloom for ๐˜พ๐™๐™š๐™š๐™ง ๐™๐™ฅ ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™™ ๐˜ฟ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™˜๐™š either. Number 2 for Nato and in the racebook, the giant Always B Miki filly might โ€˜indulgeโ€™ in riding shotgun with her stablemate but looks capable of firing a few bullets herself.

An inspired ๐™…๐™ค๐™๐™ฃ ๐™ˆ๐™ค๐™ง๐™ง๐™ž๐™จ๐™ค๐™ฃ has two entered:
๐™Ž๐™ž๐™ก๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ฉ ๐™’๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™ฃ๐™š๐™จ๐™จ, stepping out of winter maidens to start her stakes journey, and ๐™Ž๐™ฉ๐™–๐™ง๐™ฉ ๐™ˆ๐™š ๐™๐™ฅ, who showed up at stakes level last summer.

A fast and revealing Nevele R Stud Series race awaits.
Go Girls!
Who do you reckon?
R6, Ashburton, 2.37pm!
