So good to see .legerwalker & .goodman_ double the number of New Zealanders who have cut down the net in the final game of the top tier of US collegiate season! was #1 with Virginia in 2019 followed by with Alabama in 2023 and now Charlisse with UCLA and Oscar with Michigan in 2026. Who can play wheelchair basketball? In WBNZ tournaments and across NZ, everyone is very welcome to play, here is a guide for who can play their way along the many wheelchair basketball pathways that are available if you aim to play for NZ representative teams, the or overseas.

Our first tournament of 2026 tips off in Tauranga as part of the May 23 & 24. Everyone is welcome to be part of the collective fun and enjoyment. Entry forms and registrations to come. Since 2019 have supported this multi sport event in Tauranga and Wheelchair Basketball has been there from the start. Everyone enters as individuals and are placed in teams for the tournament. It’s a great way to connect and play with and against people from outside your home region. Email [email protected]
