Itching to get back on this boy and pick up where we left off before he was turned out to mull over life this winter & babysit his kiddos.
Can’t believe the season sets to start in just over 6 weeks. Check spent the end of last season just cruising through life on the buckle, but time to pick up his brave boy pants and go exploring ♥️
This was ride 2 in the arena, and if this is anything to go by, pretty excited ⭐️

The saying goes, a good stallion makes a great gelding ♥️
The decision has been made to allow Check to live his life out in a herd, surrounded by his friends & family, and to just be a “normal” horse. As an amateur rider, a breeding stallion was never on the cards, but he consistently proved himself in the show ring, with his temperament & movement, and with that, we allowed him to mature to the stage we could obtain a healthy “bank deposit” of frozen semen before we made the decision. I too, also wanted to see the quality of his progeny before we dabbled in this expensive exercise, and he once again, passed on the “goods” that made him so special, it was justified.
With the loss of Woodhill Sands to us Aucklanders as well, it has made the potential of campaigning him entire a challenge with all the red tape, no matter how well behaved he might be.
A focus to his future as a riding horse will now be key, and we are super excited to get him out and about in the Show Jumping ring, where I know he’ll shine ✨
Not all is lost though, he’ll just turn into a “limited edition” boy with the doses we have available 😎

Clydesdalestute Ruby ist ein unglaubliche sympatisches Charakterpferd. Überhaupt wird man in Neuseeland zum Clydesdale Fan. Diese Pferde machen in Neuseeland einfach alles mit und zwar genauso wie alle anderen Rassen. Einfach nur klasse!
