Hit 100 Google Reviews πŸ’™
Thanks to the clients for investing in their visibility, speaking or attending a workshop.

Appreciate you writing some choice ⭐ words to tell others how you feel.

I've really doubled down on the reviews in the last year so had I done this at the start, I'd have a lot more.

But grateful for the many clients who've trusted me.

We all know someone like this‼️

THE JARGON BOMBER

Look at those smiles πŸ’‹

BNI has been instrumental in my business growth... all with the help of these beautiful souls

Sometimes it's lonely in business

But not with these folks

Every Friday our tribe of 57 comes together to support each other

Not just the business referrals but the...

hugs, social activites, professional advice and love

Yes, love πŸ’›

And last Friday night was the BNI regional awards where we all got recognised for our efforts

Congrats to the big winners, the fabulous MC Sophie K and the man who keeps on giving on the leadership front William Tatana.

Thanks BNI City Business.

He's all heart πŸ’™

Putting my hand on his heart was a moment I had longed for and last night I got to do just that.

What an incredible human.

A friend of mine said to me on the way out of the auditorium, looking straight at me saying....

"We gotta tell better stories".

And we do.

And last night was an example of "why".

Privledged to be in the front row lapping it up and even a tear or two because I was touched, moved and inspired.

And connected.

πŸ’›

Thanks Jason for your heart.

What was your favourite story?

They won't buy from you. ❌
If they can't understand what you're saying.

Unfortunately kiwis are too "nice" to tell you to your face

If they don't understand what you said

It starts with being self aware

I attend a lot of structured networking events where business owners or leaders have to speak.

For 30, 45 or 60 seconds.

Some read their pitches

Some talk fast to fit everything in

Some talk in facts and data

Some in AI slop

---

And it breaks my heart that it's all for nought

If you stand, speak and no one understands you

What's the point?

If there's no connection, no story, no moments, no willingness to fail

I understand that it takes something special to be uncomfortable

But that's where growth... lives

The insight from 120 customers πŸ’₯

They couldn't succinctly articulate the problems they solved in their business

Too much context

A lot of waffle

Overthinking it

😱

I use a speaking framework called PREP when coaching clients

POINT
REASON
EXAMPLE

Yesterday a 10x10x10 client was having problems writing his educational video scripts

πŸ‘‰ He used PREP and had four written in 15 minutes

4 x 30 second scripts

Easy!!

People have been asking "How's your 10x10x10?" Well, here's a short update on NZ, America and beyond. πŸ‘‡

If it's the first time you've read this, 10x10x10 is video package combining speaker coaching, story writing and video production.

10 stories
10 videos
10 days

At an irresistible price.

In December last year I started networking in the USA and I have now have nine videographers on board.

From San Francisco to Atlanta, San Diego to Dallas.

But it's been a little slow.

😒

I'm grateful to have made a few sales in the US but with the time zone, it's difficult to network and promote it unless I get up a 2am.

I'm looking at potentially hiring a team member in Mexico!

πŸ‘‰ What has been working is 10x10x10 "On Location".

Shorter videos, unscripted, everything planned, filmed and delivered in under 2 hours of the clients time each month.

Effectively giving the client 30 videos over three months.

It's awesome seeing clients getting results.

Lastly, my editor has moved to Dublin and he an expert videographer too so I'm now getting him into the networking space over there.

Ireland, who knew?

If you've got a talk - LESS IS MORE ‼️

I'm working with a builder client for their three daily shows at the 2026 Auckland Home Show.

Very experienced presenters.

But there's so much that they could talk about.

They brought me in to help with their talk structure and stage performance... so they achieve their business goals.

Creative
Structure
Performance
Presentation skills
Win clients

The same structure can be applied to any talk

On stage or on video.

Be it 2, 10, 30 or 60 mins.

Block out your talk and structure and apply "less is more"

If you need help with your talk... I'd love to help.

Two lessons from my dinner party. πŸ’₯ I'm not the best cook (thanks for the help My Food Bag) but I'm proud of my efforts in Birkdale on Sunday night πŸ‘‡

A little back story.

I moved to Birkdale in April this year after living by myself for a while.

Needed the company, the conversations, the human-ess.

πŸ’™

My two single male flatmates, both a little older than me, liked looking after their own meals.

Which is understandable.

But I missed the connection of food-sharing, conversation and human-ess you get when you sit down at a table.

So, after a couple of months, I proposed a "My Kitchen Rules" dinner event.

To get everyone together.

The theme was "blue".

We learned that one of the flatmates didn't like seafood and a blue steak wasn't on the cards.

Entree: mushroom and blue cheese soup
Main: lamb shanks with a blue cheese potato mash
Dessert: blueberry and lemon cake with cream

πŸ˜‹

So what did I (we) learn?

1. If you have an idea, share it with your team, family, colleagues, network. Deliver it with your values and purpose.

2. Try something new (none of us had ever cooked our dishes) so the sense of accomplishment was spellbinding.

In both business and life.

It was so successful, we're on again for next month.

The next theme is "celebration".

What could I cook for an entree with this theme?
