It’s around the midpoint of the season for most of the teams at the Albert. So it was probably time to give an update on the Senior Golden Boot standings. This time we have two new entrants into the list.
Lizard King’s striker Amos Bailey has had a good season, bagging 8 goals and helping his lads to mid table safety.
Liam Platt has been on a bit of a scoring spree for the u23s of late. 10 goals his moved him upto 3rd on this list.
Fruit Bats goal terrors Sam McAllister_with 13 and Sam Percival with 8, have kept many a defence on their toes this season. McAllister even scoring a goal for the Baggies, when he got a run with them.
Leading the list and a person who maybe hard to catch, is Commercial Metals Baggies poacher Jimmy Kirby Organ. Jimmy has been on fire for the Baggies this season. 20 goals and with at least 7 games to play. He could get 30.
Well done to all the goal scorers at the club. Whether it be 1 or 20, scoring a goal is the hardest thing to do.

Only 5 games for the club this weekend.
The Men’s 1st and u23s are away at Onehunga Māngere United Association Football Club at Mangere Domain.
The community teams that are playing, are still in their respective cups. We have the Commercial Metals Baggies and Young Stallions at Anderson Park. The bar and kitchen will be open. The Fruit Bats are away at Bledisloe Park.
If you are looking for something to do this weekend, pick a team and go support your club. They would love it.
Good luck.

The Fantails and First Kicks sessions are taking a break during the school holidays. They have been a major success this year, with around 100 kids signed up.
If you haven’t signed up for term 3, you can do so on our website MAPAFC.co.nz. Just follow the registration link, First Kicks for the boys and Fantails for the girls. Kids from 3 to 10 are welcome. Registration also helps with the planning, as we need to know how many coaches are needed.
We are looking for more coaches to help with these sessions. The increased numbers, mean we are stretched at the moment. If you are can help out in any way, please let the club know. You don’t need to be Jurgen Klopp, just be keen and willing to help. Message the clubs social media pages for more information.
We will be back into it on Friday, July 24th. See you then.
