We had three teams in Community Knock Out Cup semi finals on the weekend. The Commercial Metals Baggies, the Fruit Bats and the Lizard Kings.

Unfortunately the Fruits Bats would go down 2-0 to West Auckland FC Hermanos. Ending their dreams of a League and Cup double. The Lizard Kings would lose 2-1 to North Shore United Seagulls. Stu Roberts with their only goal.

On the brighter side, the Baggies would come from 3-1 down, to win 6-3 against Albany United Alto Vuelo. Corbin Gurney would strike twice, along with Michael Paget, Cam Sinclair, James Kirby Organ and an oggie. This keeps their hopes of a treble alive. Having picked up the Terry Tobin Cup by beating the Northland Cup winners, they are also 2nd in the league. 3 points behind 1st with 2 games in hand. They are in control of their own destiny.
