Brave Rugby New Zealand

It was Senna’s final 15-a-side high school game yesterday. After finishing with the 1st XV, he joined the U85kg team and played 3 games.

The team made it to the finals and defeated Sacred Heart to become champions. It was truly a wonderful memory.

昨日はセナの高校生最後の15人制の試合でした。1軍を終えてセナはU85kgのチームに合流して3試合プレーしました。

チームは決勝まで進み、セイクレットハートに勝利して優勝しました。本当に素晴らしい思い出となりました。

I am in Christchurch from today until next Monday.

I visited 4 boys' schools to had meeting with my students and staffs of the international department.

I am happy to see that everyone are doing well!

今日から来週月曜日までクライストチャーチに滞在しています。

男子校4校を訪問し、生徒と国際交流部のスタッフ陣と面談しました。

It was Senna’s last game with the 1st XV at high school today. His 7 years at St. Peters had its ups and downs, but it was good that he was able to end it on a high note.

The 7’s season is at 4th term, so there’s still more to look forward to.

今日はセナの高校ラグビーの1軍での最後の試合でした。セントピーターズでの7年間は山あり谷ありでしたが、最後は良い形で終われて良かったです。

次は4学期にセブンスのシーズンがあります。まだ楽しみは残されております。

I had a dinner with 2 players tonight.

Nijiho Nagata (I looked after her in rugby in 2023) is currently playing for Japan national team, and Saki Nouyama. (Currently looking after her in rugby in NZ)

Nijiho is currently playing for Auckland Blues women’s team in Super Rugby. They won their game last weekend and they will play the final in Christchurch this weekend.

Saki has had a fantastic year with the Ponsonby Club and is continuing to impress ahead of the provincial league starting next month.

The provincial league in New Zealand begins in August.

2023年に僕の留学会社でお世話させて頂いていた、現在日本代表の永田虹歩選手と、同じく今年お世話させて頂いている農山紗叶選手と一緒にディナーをしてきました。

虹歩さんは現在スーパーラグビーのオークランドブルーズの女子チームでプレーしています。先週末の試合に勝利し、今週末は決勝戦をクライストチャーチで戦います。

紗叶さんが今年ポンソンビークラブで大活躍し、来月からの州代表のリーグに向けてアピールを続けています。

ニュージーランドは8月から州代表のリーグが始まります。

It’s been quite a hectic time from Thursday until today.

On Thursday, I traveled 6.5 hours from Auckland to Gisborne, went drinking with my University friends, and stayed over at their place.

On Friday, we watched Senna’s 1st XV’s away game then straight back to Auckland.

On Saturday morning, I flew to Christchurch, watched one of my students’ games upon arrival, and in the afternoon, I went with other students to cheer on Louie’s team in the semi-finals. They lost, and the club rugby season has ended.

That night, for some reason, I was partying with Louie’s teammates, which reminded me of my Uni drinking parties in Palmerston North. We drank and danced and had a great time 😂

Then I just got back to my home in Auckland, feeling completely exhausted 🤭

木曜日から今日までかなりの激動でした。

木曜日は6時間半かけてオークランドからギズボーンまで行き、大学時代の友達と飲みに行ったり泊まらせてもらい、金曜日はセナの1軍の遠征試合を観戦し、試合終了後すぐにオークランドに戻りました。

土曜日の朝にクライストチャーチに飛び、到着後生徒さんの試合を観戦し、午後はルイのチームの準決勝を他の生徒さんたちと一緒に応援に行ってきました。結果は敗戦し、クラブチームのシーズンが終わりました。

夜は何故かルイのチームメイトたちとどんちゃん騒ぎでパーマストンノースでの大学時代の飲み会を思い出しました。飲んで踊って楽しかったです😂

そしてフラフラになりながら先程オークランドの自宅に戻りました🤭

I’ve been in Christchurch since yesterday. This is my 9th visit this year, the same number as last year! 🤭

I watched Louie’s game yesterday, and we had our annual dinner with the Christchurch-based students and Guardian families today.

Everyone worked hard this term, so I made sure they thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ.

I wonder where we’ll do it next semester? 🤔

昨日からクライストチャーチに来ています。今年既に9回目で去年と同じ回数になってしまいました🤭

昨日はルイの試合を観戦し、今日はクライストチャーチベースの生徒さんたちとガーディアンファミリーと一緒に恒例の食事会を開きました。

皆んな2学期も頑張ったのでしっかりとBBQを楽しんでもらいました。

来学期はどこでやろうかなあ🤔

St. Peter’s College was on a road trip to Christchurch and played a game against St. Bede’s College today. Senna played from the start of the 2nd half.

They lost to St. Bede’s College. They are quite strong this year, but it was a good game up until a certain point.

We just got back to Auckland, and it’s warmer than Christchurch.

今日はクライストチャーチに遠征中のセントピーターズ高校がセントビーズ高校と試合をしました。セナも後半開始から出場しました。

今年かなり強いセントビーズ高校に敗戦しましたが、途中までは良い試合でした。

オークランドに先程戻ってきましたが、クライストチャーチより暖かいです。

I'm leaving Japan now. I'll go back in September when the rugby season ends in New Zealand.

これから日本を発ちます。ニュージーランドのラグビーシーズンが終わる9月に再び行きます。

It is my last day in Japan today. My school visits were canceled this morning due to the typhoon, but I went out this afternoon.

I’m going out tonight and heading to Singapore for 1 night tomorrow morning.

今日は日本最終日です。午前中は台風直撃のため学校訪問がキャンセルになりましたが、午後から外に出ました。

今夜出かけて明日の朝に1泊だけシンガポールに行きます。
