I’m having one of those days when I just wanna get my wild on. Not run naked in the street kinda wild more like gathering on a hill with a bunch on hippies and dancing like no one’s watching kinda wild. Or plunging into an ice cold lake and then sitting in a sauna til I go dizzy and then into a freezer water again. I’m loving the uk and I also gotta find my wild here. Any ideas??

What if your high libido is a way your nervous system has learnt to regulate stress, find comfort and seek relief through ej*******on?

My niece put my hair in heartless curls last night. So fun!

There’s a difference between a high s*x drive and using s*x to regulate the nervous system.

What can seem like, “I’m just h***y all the time -that’s just me,” can sometimes be a nervous system that hasn’t yet developed the capacity to relax into intensity or arousal.

What’s often missing here in the ability to relax into pleasure and arousal, is to become familiar with the feeling of being aroused without immediately needing to discharge it.

My approach is about getting in touch with your body, to experience your body as an intelligent ally not just something that needs to perform for you.

When we do this, we begin to develop a more intimate relationship with our nervous system : the sensitive, highly attuned, automatic part of us that shapes our state. It influences our thoughts, our behaviour, our ability to relate, and how we experience the world around us.

I listened to this podcast today on the Good S@x Project. It spoke a little into the phenomena of mismatched libido many relationships face. It offered an interesting perspective one which I talk lots about with my male clients and in the couples sessions I offer - that if the s@x your having isn't what you really like then no wonder you don't really want it, it makes sense! It's an accurate response.
It also speaks into what creates magnificent s@x, the therapist did an extensive market research project, it's insightful to hear what those results came up with.
It also addresses the whole - organised s@x verses spontaneous s@x and why s@x dates don't necessarily fit the bill for people who have lost that connection altogether or for whom physical intimacy is rare.
I hope you enjoy it, I'd love to hear your thoughts https://open.spotify.com/episode/7bY72dHL4hzAfqtCRl2MDD.

Most of us never really got an education around our s*xuality.
We learned through trial and error, what we found online, what we saw on TV, or through the unconscious programming we absorbed growing up.
And collectively, I think we’ve developed a pretty skewed idea of what “great s*x” looks like.

Fast.
Goal-oriented.
Intensity is better.
Performance matters.

You only have to watch most s*x scenes on TV to get the general idea.🙄

One thing that touched me deeply in my work with men, and has never really left my awareness, is how much responsibility many men carry around getting s*x “right.”✅

Reading her body with ninja-like skills.🥷
Performing like a machine rather than a human being.
Staying hard when you’re supposed to, while somehow being relaxed and present enough to meet her where she needs to be met.🥴
Making sure she’s experiencing enough pleasure.
While simultaneously making sure you last long enough.😅
No pressure then.😂Read full post on fb https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1c6S1KCHhZ/
