REPORT ON THE CLOSING CEREMONY AND FINAL REPORT PRESENTATION OF SYNAPSE 2026

Introduction

The Closing Ceremony of SYNAPSE 2026 was successfully conducted at the BPKIHS Auditorium on 1st August 2026 at 2:00 PM following the successful completion of the seven-day inter-medical college festival. SYNAPSE 2026 marked the historic revival of the event after an eight-year hiatus, bringing together students, faculty members, staff, participants, volunteers, sponsors, and well-wishers in a celebration of sports, culture, literature, academics, creativity, teamwork, and institutional spirit.

The Closing Ceremony was attended by the executive and former executive of Institute,the executive of Students Welfare Society, members of the SYNAPSE 2026 Organizing Committee, Advisory Committee members, representatives of the faculty and staff, participating students, volunteers, and other members of the BPKIHS family.

Distinguished Guests and Dignitaries

The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Anup Ghimire, Acting Rector and Dean Academics, BPKIHS.

The Guests of Honour included:

- Prof. Dr. Bikram Prasad Shrestha, Former Vice-Chancellor, BPKIHS
- Prof. Dr. Sanjib Kumar Sharma, Former Rector, BPKIHS
- Prof. Dr. Shivendra Jha, Former Dean Academics, BPKIHS
- Dr. Vimmi Singh, Assistant Dean Academics and Advisory Member

The ceremony was further attended by members of the SYNAPSE Advisory Committee, including Prof. Dr Pritha Basnet, Prof. Dr.Robin Maskey, Prof. Dr. Robin Bhandari, Prof. Dr. Shamsher Shrestha, Prof. Upendra Yadav, and Dr. Ajay Yadav, along with other respected faculty members, staff representatives, former executives, current executives, organizers, volunteers, and students.

Presentation of SYNAPSE 2026 Reports

As a major component of the Closing Ceremony, the Organizing Committee presented a comprehensive report of SYNAPSE 2026 covering the overall planning, coordination, ex*****on, activities, achievements, challenges, and outcomes of the festival.

The Activity Report provided an overview of the sports, cultural, literary, academic, and other events conducted under SYNAPSE 2026. The report highlighted the participation of various medical colleges and institutions, the achievements of participating teams and individuals, major milestones, memorable moments, and the collective efforts that contributed to the successful revival of SYNAPSE.

Category-wise Activity and Financial Reports

Representatives and leaders from all respective categories presented their category-wise activity and financial reports. Each category presented the activities conducted, participation, achievements, expenditures, and other relevant details, followed by acknowledgement and appreciation of their respective team members.

The financial presentation was conducted with an emphasis on transparency, accountability, and proper documentation. The category-wise financial reports included details of expenditures along with relevant supporting documentation, including:

- Category-wise expenditure
- Number of bills/vouchers
- PAN details
- VAT details, wherever applicable
- Amount spent
- Other relevant financial transactions and supporting records

The Organizing Treasurer also presented the overall treasury and consolidated financial report of SYNAPSE 2026, providing an overview of the overall income, expenditure, sponsorships, and other financial transactions associated with the festival.

Acknowledgement and Appreciation

During the ceremony, sincere gratitude was expressed to all individuals and institutions who contributed to the successful organization of SYNAPSE 2026.

Special appreciation was extended to the Advisory Committee, faculty members, administrative staff, student executives, former executives, organizers, category leaders, volunteers, sponsors, participating institutions, security personnel, housekeeping staff, and all supporting teams.

The Organizing Committee particularly acknowledged the valuable contribution of the sponsors and partner organizations whose support played an important role in making SYNAPSE 2026 possible.

Each category leadership also expressed appreciation to their respective teams for their dedication, teamwork, and commitment throughout the preparation and ex*****on of the event.

Interaction and Question–Answer Session

Following the presentation of the reports, an open Question–Answer and Interaction Session was conducted for the students and other attendees.

Students were provided an opportunity to raise questions, seek clarification, and provide feedback regarding the organization, activities, financial management, and overall conduct of SYNAPSE 2026. The questions raised by the participants were addressed by the Organizing Secretary, contributing to an environment of transparency, accountability, and constructive dialogue.

Submission for Institutional Audit

Upon completion of the presentations, the complete reports and relevant financial documentation of SYNAPSE 2026 were forwarded to BPKIHS for institutional record and audit purposes.

The submission included the overall activity report, category-wise activity reports, category-wise financial statements, consolidated treasury report, and relevant supporting financial documents. This step was undertaken to ensure proper institutional documentation, transparency, and accountability of the entire event.

Closing Dinner and Appreciation

Following the successful completion of the Closing Ceremony, a Closing Dinner was organized on the same evening for the members of the SYNAPSE 2026 team.

The dinner brought together organizing committee members, volunteers, category leaders, organizers, and other individuals who had devoted their time, effort, and commitment to the successful completion of SYNAPSE 2026.

The gathering served as a gesture of appreciation and encouragement for everyone who worked tirelessly, often beyond their regular responsibilities and personal time, to make the revival of SYNAPSE a success.

Conclusion

With the successful presentation of the overall activity and financial reports, category-wise reports, treasury report, open question–answer session, acknowledgement of contributors, and formal submission of the complete documentation for institutional audit, the Closing Ceremony of SYNAPSE 2026 was successfully concluded.

SYNAPSE 2026 was more than a festival; it represented the revival of a cherished BPKIHS tradition after eight years and demonstrated the power of collective effort, leadership, teamwork, friendship, sportsmanship, creativity, and institutional unity.

The successful completion of SYNAPSE 2026 was made possible through the combined efforts of the entire BPKIHS community. The Organizing Committee extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed directly or indirectly to this historic edition and looks forward to building upon the experience and lessons of SYNAPSE 2026 for future editions.

To every student who volunteered, participated, competed, performed, coordinated, promoted, and supported the event in any capacity, and to every organizing team member who worked tirelessly behind the scenes for months, often sacrificing personal time and comfort, thank you. Your commitment, resilience, and teamwork transformed a vision into reality. We are equally grateful to our faculty members, administrative staff, advisory committee, judges, sponsors, security personnel, housekeeping staff, and everyone whose support made this event possible.

The Closing Ceremony marks not only the conclusion of SYNAPSE 2026 but also an opportunity to reflect upon the journey we have shared together. During the program, the Organizing Committee will present a comprehensive report covering:

Discussion of challenges encountered during the planning and ex*****on of the event, constructive feedback received, lessons learned, and recommendations for future editions of SYNAPSE.
We also believe that every large event provides valuable learning opportunities. Therefore, the session will remain open for genuine suggestions, constructive feedback, queries, and discussions so that we can collectively strengthen the foundation for future editions of SYNAPSE. We encourage everyone to participate actively and share their perspectives in a respectful and positive spirit.

SYNAPSE 2026 has been far more than a festival—it has been a celebration of unity, teamwork, friendship, sportsmanship, creativity, and the collective spirit of BPKIHS. The memories we created together will remain with us for years to come, and we hope this marks the beginning of a renewed tradition that continues to grow stronger with every edition.
