NSWK IV Enschede 💙💛
After our big party on Friday it was finally time for the last NSWK of the season!
The rain 🌧️ didn’t stop us at all for having an amazing day. All the three the teams played good matches which resulted in a final with WAVE 2 against WAVE 3! To make it even more fun we played it together with everyone from WAVE! 🤽‍♀️🤽‍♂️🤽
While the finals were going on, the sun finally came trough and stayed for the rest of the day! ☀️☀️
We could enjoy our win while chilling in the sun waiting for the final results… then it was finally revealed, our beginners team got first place at this season!! 🏆🙌🏻🥇

What a season has it been!!
On the sixth of June our season finale took place in Enschede. Before this last race started, we were in fourth place. Of course our main goal was finishing in third place… so we showed up with a big group of WAVE’rs, with even bigger expectations. 🔥🔥🔥
We started off strong with our men’s 4x50m freestyle winning the relay! 🥇 After that everyone knew what to do. Amazing times were put on paper while we were enjoying the nice weather ☀️☀️☀️. The last races ended with a lot of hugging to keep each other warm in the cold and rainy weather… 😔🌧️. Luckily that didn’t changed our results 💨, the season ended with the 8x50m medley relay where WAVE 1 managed to get second place! 🥈
The season was finished, but we weren’t done with winning races… The beer relay was a big hit where VOijf made sure to get first place! 🥇🔥
At the poolparty in the evening the final results were revealed, there we got the confirmation that we made it to third place!! 🥉🥉🥉🥉
The only way to finish off this amazing day was with a big party!! 💛💙🍾

Agenda - JUNE 💙💛
It’s already the last busy agenda of the year! Summer is coming and this Thursday, with the end of the year BBQ the new board will be presented! 👀
Lucky the year isn’t over yet, we still have a lot of cool activities planned! 🔥
To start, this weekend the NSZWK IV will be held in Enschede 🏊‍♀️🤽‍♂️. After this there is some more waterpolo at the Borculo tournament 🤽‍♀️🤽.
Of course there still some studying for the last exam week of this year which you can do at our Badtrand UB.
To finish off this month there will be A LOT of triathlons for our competition teams! 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃💨

UT triathlon Enschede 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃
This year WAVE has grown a lot in triathlon, which means we now have 5 teams!! 🤩 Our ladies 1 promoted to first division last year 🏆, besides this we have a new ladies 2 in 2nd decision. Our men’s 1 team is in first decision as well, and we have two more men’s teams in third devision! 💙💛

On the 17th of may the triathlon season finally started with a team time trail! Everyone came good trained and well prepared to te start. 🏁
With good weather nothing could go wrong anymore. Sadly a flat tire by our ladies 1 messed up a part of their race and one of them had to drop out.
Luckily all the teams could finish satisfied with amazing times. 🔥
The results are:
1e Divisie Zuid Women - 4th place
1e Divisie Zuid Men - 7th place
3e Divisie Zuid Men - 4th place
3e Divisie Zuid Men - 22th place

Batavierenrace 🏃🏃‍♀️💨💨
Woooow what a result!! WAVE managed to get 9th place overall at the Batavierenrace 2026! 🔥💪🏻 This is our best result ever!!
At Friday night our race started, the night shift was FLYING. At shift 5, 6 and 7 WAVE was even at the lead! 🥇 They made sure to end the night shift at second place! 🔥💨
The morning shift knew it was going to be hard to keep this position. They did everything they could and ran a lot faster than they thought they could. Because of this they made sure to end the morning shift at 7th position! 💪🏻💪🏻
The afternoon shift kept our position steady, at shift 18 we were even back at 6th place! The last few shift did everything they could and made sure WAVE finished at ninth place!! We’re so proud since this is our best Batavierenrace ever! 🔥🔥
The night ended with the big party and a bit of sleep at the camping ⛺️.
We will definitely be back next year to fight again!!
