In 2009 I started the blog as a weight loss journal. I also started running. Now it's really a heal My name is Renée. Most people call that maintenance.
I am originally from the US but I've lived in the Netherlands since 1994. Dus ik spreek engels en nederlands but the blog and page are generally in English. A few things about me:

I am a lifetime Weight Watcher member but I no longer go to meetings. As of this writing I am still fighting to get back to a weight tha

☀️ ZONNESTRAL parkrun ☀️
made it to the inaugural event in Hilversum where loads of parkrun friends old and new were gathered. What a beautiful parkrun!! highly recommend but bring your trail shoes if it’s been raining!!

Oh and guess what? 2nd 5km this week where i ran without any breaks 🎉
we don’t generally do the super touristy things but felt like taking the gondola was something that just had to be done. FYI you can do this with a partner, friend, group or yourself. Don’t get sucked into the belief that this is only for “romantic” purposes. It’s a lovely experience, period. Prices are straightforward and you can even share with strangers to split the cost.
That said, it was an absolute treat to go with the one i love the most ❤️ My first trip to Venice was not great so now i have a new memory.
