RIPE 95: Call for Host The RIPE NCC is looking for a host for RIPE 95 that will take place in Madrid at the Meliá Castilla Hotel from 15-19 November 2027.

Before new Internet standards take flight, the community needs a place to test their wings. 🦜

That is where Birds-of-a-Feather (BoF) sessions come in. Ahead of IETF 126 in Vienna, Greg Wood looks at the BoFs on the agenda, where early ideas are tested in the open before they have a chance to grow into formal standards work. 🪹

On 29-30 June, the RIPE NCC participated in the ITU Forum “Future of Connectivity” in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.

Vahan Hovsepyan, Senior Community and Public Policy Advisor at the RIPE NCC, presented on “Connectivity and Internet Security in the Region”, highlighting how resilient infrastructure, routing security, Internet measurements, and local interconnection contribute to a stronger and more secure Internet.

The forum also provided an opportunity to discuss future technical cooperation with the Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan.

What happens to the Internet during a critical subsea cable outage❓
