13 years of awards, 30 years of Bayelsa, 16 years of NCDMB. The Bayelsa Media Awards is back with its biggest edition yet.
The Bayelsa Media Awards, BMA, has unveiled its 13th edition, tagged the ‘13:30 Edition’, scheduled for 2026 in Yenagoa. This year’s event coincides with Bayelsa State’s 30th Anniversary since creation in 1996, and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board’s 16th Anniversary. They return as Lead Sponsors.
According to the Project Manager Victor Binawari, ‘This is more than an awards event. It is a celebration of 30 years of Bayelsa, 16 years of NCDMB’s impact on Nigerian Content, and 13 years of BMA spotlighting excellence.’ He also announced that DACHAJ Nigeria Limited is joining Sqilful Konseptz to co-package the event.
For media professionals across Bayelsa and the Niger Delta region, it means more visibility, competition, and opportunities to be recognized by State governments, Corporate entities and top brands like NCDMB which has opened the Oil and Gas categories to the region. The theme ‘13:30 Edition’ reflects BMA’s 13-year journey alongside Bayelsa’s 30-year growth.
Nominations, categories, date, and venue will be announced soon. For details, contact the Bayelsa Media Awards website www.bma.org.ng or follow official BMA channels.
