Mark 6:31-32 (NET) He said to them, “Come with me privately to an isolated place and rest a while” (for many were coming and going, and there was no time to eat).
So they went away by themselves in a boat to some remote place.

Planning to escape? That was Jesus' idea. Step back from routine. Tip toe through the back door and be gone. But look at those in the boat. Only those who knew what the mission was got the ferry ticket. And where to? Somewhere remote where they could be all by themselves.

Isn't there a reason why we still feel tired after we claim to have rested? We go on leave and take some work along. The phones keep buzzing with work emails and social media reels. Eyes glued on same screen, heart racing at same pace. You can leave it all behind for one day or more. Don't bring routine into rest times.

There'll be everything else without you someday. So, rest well.
