Here’s a question for network marketers:

What if your problem isn’t that you’re not getting enough attention?

What if you’re getting attention from the wrong people?

You can have thousands of views and still generate very little business.

Why?

Because attention isn’t the same as qualified interest.

Your content should make the right person think:

“He’s talking about exactly what I’m dealing with.”

That’s when content starts doing something more powerful than simply generating likes.

It starts creating conversations.

And conversations create opportunities.

Don’t just create content to be seen.

Create content that attracts the people you actually want to talk to.

I believe there are 3 types of network marketers.

1. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒓

Constantly messaging people, following up and trying to convince prospects.

2. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓

Always buying another course, watching another training and downloading another tool.

𝟑. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫

Creates content, builds relationships, attracts the right people and develops a simple system they can consistently execute.

Which one are you becoming?

There’s nothing wrong with learning.

There’s nothing wrong with following up.

There’s nothing wrong with reaching out.

The problem is when these activities become a substitute for actually building a business.

Knowledge is only valuable when it changes what you do.

Trying to convince everyone.

Someone says:

“I’m not interested.”

And we start explaining.

They say:

“I don’t have money.”

We start overcoming objections.

They say:

“I’ll think about it.”

We follow up five more times.

But here’s the shift I want you to consider:

𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞.

Your job is to identify people who already have a problem, desire a solution, and are willing to have a conversation.

That’s a completely different way of looking at prospecting.

Stop asking:

“𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝒅𝒐 𝑰 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏?”

Start asking:

“𝑰𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒂 𝒇𝒊𝒕?”

That one shift can change the way you approach your business.

But rejection doesn’t necessarily mean you’re bad at network marketing.

Sometimes you’re simply talking to the wrong people, at the wrong time, with the wrong approach.

The goal shouldn’t be to convince everyone.

The goal should be to create a way for interested people to identify themselves.

That’s a completely different mindset.

All of these things can be useful.

A lot of distributors are taught:

“Make a list of 100 people.”

“Start with your warm market.”

“Call your friends.”

“Tell your family.”

And there’s nothing inherently wrong with talking to people you know.

The problem comes when 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒃𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒅𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒍𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒚 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘.

Eventually, the list runs out.

Then what?

You either start chasing people…

or you start wondering whether you’re actually cut out for network marketing.

I believe there’s a better conversation to have:
