Jami Schlueter 🇳🇬 wrapped up his Commonwealth Games debut with a 7th place finish in the men’s decathlon, amassing 7,665 points across all 10 events in Glasgow.

The Nigerian national record holder was in the thick of the medal battle for much of the competition, ending Day 1 in 4th place and staying within striking distance of the podium through the opening six events before finishing 7th overall.

A valuable championship debut and another step forward for one of Nigeria’s brightest combined events talents.
