Baleba is expected to be sidelined for a couple of weeks with a minor ankle issue.

And then stand by that decision.

Look at Chelsea’s ruthless approach to squad management. Once a player knows he isn’t part of the project, the pressure is on.

The player calls his agent.

The agent starts making calls.

Clubs start appearing.

Suddenly, that player who seemed impossible to sell has options.

At Manchester United, we often do the complete opposite.

We keep players around.

We allow them to train.

We allow them to remain comfortable.

We continue paying them.

And then we wonder why nobody wants to buy them. 🤦🏾‍♂️

THIS ISN’T A TRANSFER PROBLEM. IT’S A CLUB MANAGEMENT PROBLEM.

Look at the situation with players like Rashford, Sancho, Garnacho, Onana and others.

Once the message became clear that certain players were no longer central to the manager’s plans, everything changed.

Because when a player knows:

“The manager doesn’t want me.”

He starts thinking:

“Okay… where am I going next?”

That is when agents start working.

That is when clubs start negotiating.

That is when transfers happen.

Manchester United have to stop being a comfort zone.

If you’re not part of the manager’s plans, you shouldn’t be treated like you’re still an important member of the project.

And NO, I’m not saying United should throw players away for nothing.

Quite the opposite.

STOP SELLING FOR PEANUTS!

£5m here.

£10m there.

£17m somewhere else.

Why?

Set your valuation and stand your ground.

If another club doesn’t want to pay it, let the player remain outside the main project until the right offer arrives.

Because the moment other clubs realise Manchester United are desperate to sell, guess what happens?

THE PRICE GOES DOWN.

United need to regain control.

Less player power.

Less pampering.

Less “let’s see what happens.”

More authority.

More ruthless decisions.

More “YOU ARE NOT PART OF THE PROJECT.”

Because at the end of the day…
