Skyway Aviation Handling Company PLC (SAHCO) has recognised and rewarded Mr. Lucky Iliyah, a Cargo Loading Agent in Abuja Station, for his exceptional display of honesty, integrity and professionalism in the course of his duties.
The recognition underscores SAHCO’s commitment to fostering a culture of integrity and accountability, where exemplary conduct is not only encouraged but also recognised and rewarded.
During an operation on August 17, 2026, Mr. Iliyah discovered a cooler that had inadvertently been left behind on the tarmac. Demonstrating commendable honesty and a strong sense of responsibility, he immediately secured the item and ensured it was safely kept until it could be returned to its rightful owner.
Remarkably, this was not his first demonstration of integrity. On a previous occasion, Mr. Iliyah found a mobile phone belonging to a passenger and promptly returned it to its owner.
His consistent actions reflect a genuine commitment to doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. His conduct exemplifies the high standards of professionalism, honesty and accountability that SAHCO promotes across its workforce.
In recognition of his exemplary conduct, SAHCO rewarded Mr. Iliyah for upholding the Company’s core values and serving as a positive example to his colleagues.
The Company reaffirmed that integrity remains at the heart of its operations and its relationships with customers and stakeholders.

SAHCO Strengthens Aviation Security Through Practical Knowledge Sharing

Skyway Aviation Handling Company PLC (SAHCO) hosted the Aviation Security (AVSEC) Department of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL) for a practical tour of its cargo handling facilities as part of BASL’s mail security training programme.

The team was received by Bamaiyi Gumut, Head of Security, SAHCO PLC, who led them through SAHCO’s world-class Customs Bonded Export Warehouse and provided insights into cargo handling procedures, export processes and security screening requirements.

The practical session gave the BASL AVSEC personnel first-hand knowledge of the robust security measures involved in the screening and handling of export cargo.

At SAHCO, we remain committed to promoting aviation security, operational excellence, knowledge sharing and the continuous improvement of cargo handling standards across Nigeria’s aviation industry.

A proud moment for SAHCO as our Executive Director, Cargo Services & Operations, Mrs. Boma Ukwunna, was honoured with the prestigious WiLAT Award at the 14th WiLAT Annual Conference 2026.

Launched in June 2013, Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) is committed to promoting the logistics and transport industry among women while encouraging and supporting their professional and career development.

The recognition celebrates Mrs. Ukwunna’s exceptional leadership, outstanding contributions to the logistics and transport industry, and her commitment to advancing opportunities for women within the sector.

Held under the theme “Driving Results: Time Mastery in Logistics and Transport,” the conference brought together women professionals and industry leaders to exchange knowledge, inspire progress and shape conversations around the future of logistics and transport.
