🚨🔵 THIS IS WHAT PEOPLE STILL DON’T UNDERSTAND ABOUT CHELSEA. 🔵🏆

Someone asked: “How did these young players win the Champions League?” 😂

And honestly, that question misses the bigger picture.

Chelsea have never been just about the names on the pitch.

Chelsea are a football club with an identity. A culture. A mentality.

Go back to 2012.

Chelsea were written off against Barcelona — the holders and one of the most feared teams in Europe. At Camp Nou, Chelsea went down 2–0, were reduced to 10 men, and still found a way through. Ramires scored. Fernando Torres finished the job. Chelsea were going to Munich.

Then came the final.

Bayern Munich. In Munich.

Bayern scored late. Chelsea looked finished.

Then Didier Drogba equalised in the 88th minute.

Extra time.

Robben missed a penalty.

Penalty shootout.

And Chelsea lifted their first Champions League trophy in Bayern’s own stadium.

Fast forward to 2021.

Again, Chelsea faced a team many considered favourites: Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

And what happened?

Chelsea won 1–0 and became European champions for the second time. Kai Havertz scored the winner, while Chelsea’s defence produced a performance that UEFA described as decisive in the victory.

So when you look at this picture and see young players celebrating...

Don’t just see “small players.”

See Chelsea.

Because the badge carries history.
The shirt carries expectation.
The club carries a mentality.

It doesn’t always matter who is sitting on the bench, who is doubting them, or who is standing on the other side.

Underestimate Chelsea and they will hurt you.

That has been Chelsea for years. 🔵🦁

Never forget who you are wearing the shirt for. 💙

🚨🔵 XABI ALONSO PRE-MATCH CONFERENCE: FULHAM vs CHELSEA

Xabi Alonso has spoken ahead of Chelsea’s first Premier League game of the season against Fulham — and there are plenty of talking points. 👀

🔵 Enzo Fernández: “Enzo is a Chelsea player. He’s a top, top player.” Alonso says Enzo is training well and preparing for Monday, but avoided directly confirming whether he wants to stay amid the transfer speculation.

🔥 João Pedro: Alonso praised his personality, mentality and growing leadership, saying his development has been “very noticeable.”

🛡️ Levi Colwill: Alonso believes a proper pre-season has helped him return to his best and called him “one of the best centre-backs in the world.”

👑 Reece James: Alonso says James needs to feel important wherever he plays, highlighting his quality, intelligence, experience and composure.

💪 Welbeck: He has a minor issue but could be involved, with Alonso expecting him back in training on Saturday.

🤝 Arbeloa vs Alonso: Former friends, but no friendship for 90 minutes. Alonso’s message: “No friends, no past.”

🎯 Chelsea’s ambition: Aim as high as possible, maintain the hunger and build the right spirit.

And when asked if Alonso could still get himself into the starting XI… 😂

“No chance.”

The Alonso era officially begins on Monday. 🔵🔥

Fulham vs Chelsea — Craven Cottage.

How confident are you going into the opener? 👇

🚨🔵 XABI ALONSO: CHELSEA WILL ONLY GET BETTER! 📈🔥

🗣️ Xabi Alonso:

“We are going to improve game by game. I’m sure that the team that starts the Premier League will not be better than the team in November or December, because everything takes time.

“It’s a process, but we feel that we can have a good start, and that’s so important.”

The message is clear: this Chelsea team is still a work in progress. 👀💙

Alonso wants a strong start — but he also knows the best version of his Chelsea side will come with time, experience and improvement. 🔥

The journey starts now. 💙
