One of the reason's l really want to make is because of how much l love taking care of people.I just love to be a provider,l want to be someone people can look up to for help.
I guess it's the first born instincts or something but lemme be the number my Siblings call before they even call my parents.

So l TOLD MY DAD ONE DAY PERIOD FEELS LIKE PREGNANCY, HE FROZE 😅

It was the second day of my period.

You know that day, when your body is doing press-up and plank jacks inside, when food is your enemy, when wish you could exchange genders😂

I was lying on my bed, weak and nauseous.

My dad strolled into my room and just peered at me like he usually does. His eyes literally asked the question:

“What’s wrong?”

I just said:

“Daddy, I feel like I want to throw up.”

He paused.

Then asked, very seriously in igbo:

“Does me**es make somebody vomit?”

I said:

“Yes na.”

Before I could even finish, my junior sisters joined:

“It’s like when a woman is pregnant o!”

Omo.

The way my father froze, like system error😂 He just went quiet. Next thing, he said:

“Go and bring bucket for her. Just in case.”

With full concern.

That was when I knew: This man was scared. 😅

Another time, cramps was dealing with me.

You know those cramps that make you question your existence.

I told him on the phone:

"Daddy, please get me Piroxicam on your way back.”

And he did. No argument. No “manage it”. Just fatherly care. 🥹

That’s when it hit me:

Most men don’t really understand what menstruation does to a woman’s body.

Not because they’re wicked, but because nobody taught them.
Most times we focus on teaching the female child and forget the male child

So let me enlighten the male child today:

During menstruation, a woman can experience:

✔️ Severe cramps
✔️ Nausea and vomiting
✔️ Headache
✔️ Back pain
✔️ Weakness
✔️ Mood swings
✔️ Dizziness
✔️ Loss of appetite
✔️ Body pain

It’s not drama. It’s hormones + uterine contractions + pain.

Real prostaglandin pain!

And it's really similar to a pregnant woman's symptoms, at least her first trimester's.

So bros, if a woman says:

“I’m on my period.”

And she’s crying, irritable, tired, not smiling.

Please, relax.

Don’t say:

❌ “You’re too dramatic”
❌ “You’re always complaining”
❌ “It’s just period”

Don't do that. It’s not “just” anything.

And yes, sometimes we overdo it small, just for attention 😅
We admit.

But most times? We’re just surviving, removing pints of clean blood every month for 5-7 days.

Shoutout to fathers, brothers, and men who try to understand. 💙

Empathy is attractive, ignorance is not.

Learn. Ask. Care. It concerns you more than you think. 🫶🏽

🍀🍀There’s something suspicious about Saturdays.
Not the loud, brunch-with-the-girls, soft-life, golden-hour Saturdays you see on Instagram. I mean the real ones. The quiet ones. The ones where you wake up at 9:47 a.m., stare at the ceiling fan, and wonder why your life feels like a deleted scene from a coming-of-age movie.
Hi. I’m a mid-20s girl. Supposedly in my “best years.”
🍀🍀So why do my Saturdays always look like this?
I woke up today with no alarm scrolled through my phone for several hours (tragic in reality), and somehow ended up deep in TikTok watching strangers live their most productive lives. Pilates at 7 a.m. Grocery shopping in cute linen sets. Matcha in aesthetic mugs. Meanwhile, I’m still in my oversized T-shirt from Secondary school. hair tied in a lazy bun, contemplating if brushing my teeth counts as an achievement.
Why do Saturdays always feel like they come with expectations?
All week I complain that I’m tired. That work drains me. That I just need Saturday to reset. Then Saturday arrives and… I do absolutely nothing.

🍀🍀Why do all Saturdays look like a holding space?
Not bad. Not exciting. Just… suspended.
I think part of it is this weird in-between phase of life. You’re no longer a student, so weekends don’t feel rebellious. But you’re not fully settled into some glamorous adult rhythm either.

You’re building. Waiting. Figuring things out quietly while everyone else looks like they’ve figured it out loudly.
Maybe Saturdays feel boring because they don’t come with structure. Monday tells you what to do. Tuesday pushes you. Wednesday nags you. Friday flirts with you. But Saturday? Saturday just stares at you and says, “Well? Who are you without deadlines?”
And that question is loud.
🍀🍀Sometimes I think I’m not bored. I’m just uncomfortable with stillness. When there’s no chaos, no urgent emails, no rushing, I’m left alone with my thoughts. And they ask annoying questions like: Are you happy? Are you growing? Is this the life you imagined at 16?
On weekdays, I can ignore those questions. On Saturdays, they sit on the edge of my bed like uninvited guests.
It’s 6:55 p.m now I finally showered. Played music while moisturizing like I’m the main character in an indie film. For a moment, it felt Productive. Maybe some Saturdays are just meant to be soft. Unremarkable. Ordinary in a way that future-me might actually miss.
Because one day, I might have a louder life. Busier weekends. Responsibilities that swallow my quiet afternoons whole.
And maybe I’ll think back to these “boring” Saturdays — the ones with half-drunk cups of tea, open windows, and unanswered texts — and realize they weren’t empty.
They were just mine.
Still though…
Why do all Saturdays always look like this?
